I would be about as happy as a Liverpool fan would be. I would prefer to see Hughes in control.
And I hate Hughes
Compared to Benitez, Hughes has accomplished nothing as a manager.
Its nothing to do with what they have/have not managed to win. Its about the fans accepting them.....do you think he would be popular at Goodison?
Other than the fact he once called you a small club, why would you have an issue? He'd be the most accomplished and successful manager you'd have had since Howard Kendall. You'd be lucky to have him in my opinion.
I doubt he'd want to come to you though.
I know quite a few EvertonIan's, season ticket holders who secretly want him especially considering those names orb the frame
I think fans are often very childish. When he was at Chelsea I couldn't stand Mourinho but if he came to Liverpool and won us the Premier League or the Champions League I would be thrilled. Even if Sir Alex came and took us back to the top I would be happy.
How many of us haven't switched jobs over the years? I find it ridiculous how fans boo players when they return with another club. I was actually so pleased to see the wonderful reception we gave Riise when he came on for Fulham on Sunday.
I doubt he'd want to come to you though**
Earlier it was a definite that he wouldnt come
Benitez would undo Moyes 11 years of work inside 6 months.Their is a reason he's been unemployed for best part of 2 years and was given the title of 'interim' manager.
Sooner have Hughes or even Rodgers ahead of him and I think both of those are absolute duffers when it comes to management.
I doubt he'd want to come to you though**

Are you following me around?
Whcihever way I decide to phrase it, the result will be the same. He won't be Everton manager.

There's no trophy to be won in the first 6 months. Say 8 months, and the League Cup.
I wonder if Rodgers would ever have a side finish higher in the league than a side managed by Moyes.
He's 0 for 2 at the moment and counting.I wonder which one of the two would win a league title first?? the serial no trophy loser or the manager who re-invented the passing game
who saw Moyes going to Man U.....it could happen, highly unlikely
Stay on topic phil. You're all over the place.
So you care not to answer as you know the answer will not be favourable to the pass master

er... Well practically everyone I know has been predicting it for years. When Owen Coyle managed Burnley some Burnley fan friends of mine thought that Coyle was so brilliant that he would go to Everrton when Moyes got the MU job. They are not predicting it now because they hate him.

I think anyone with an interest in football over the last 2 years knew that had a chance with that job. He's been handpicked by Fergie and the interest in Moyes hasn't been a secret. .
No phil, I care not to answer because we're talking about Rafa and Everton. Stay on topic.
Who would have thought 8 years ago that Liverpool would have had a failed Reading manager in charge of them.Via Roy Hogson and king kenneth.Sitting 2nd place in the league and now what,8th then 7th with Everton ahead of them
That should be 5 years ago btw
You're going off topic again phil. Concentrate.
from Benitez to Rodgers. From Champions league football to nothing. From fans expecting even demanding trophies to fans saying 7th is progress and all over a 5 year spell.
Great viewing the death throes of a once big player to a mid table team .
Yes, Phil, you must learn to concentrate. I think that Rafa will do a great job where ever he ends up. Of course, he might be waiting for the Real Madrid job.
Sooner have Hughes or even Rodgers ahead of him and I think both of those are absolute duffers when it comes to management.
and that my friends, is why you lot are small time!
you would rather have HUGHES than BENITEZ!!!!
For what is probably the thousandth time, benitez did not call you a small club (although i wish he had)...he said when SMALLER clubs come to anfield.
you lot were too busy frothing at the mouth to actually read what he said.
rafa will not go to everton as he is far too good a manager. moyes isnt fit to lace his boots
What is Dr Phil on about now?
He doesn't half embarrass himself. If death throes relate to an increase in the number of points and goals scored, I hope it's a long and painful death.
And yet Benitez will be out of work in a couple of weeks time and Moyes has been head hunted by the biggest club around.
Go figure that one out
