Arsene knew of Ferguson's retirement

I'm not convinced he 'knew' of Fergie's retirement, but he was very coy when asked that question.

I believe his answer was "I will go into that another time" or something like that.

"I will go into that another time"

did he really say that?

Something like that. Let me find the quote.

First of all, Arsene was completely unaware because Fergie said yesterday, during his speech, he only told his son, and close family members during the months of March and April. However, Arsene has come out and said he detected a few signs during the season.

From what Wenger said, both about him detecting signs and the "I can't tell you" I do wonder if Fergie all but told him. Doesn't really matter one way or another I guess

Did fergie say he planned his retirement last Christmas or the one before?

Either way I'm sure Fergie told Wenger and probably said give him to me as a gift in return have Rooney or something. They do respect each other.

The RVP phone convo must be fascinating. Shame they stopped hacking phones.

I'm pretty sure Fergie said he decided this around Xmas time as his wife's sister died and he wanted more time to support her.

Not sure how Wenger would know this before all of his family would.

I can't wait for Wenger auto biography. It'd be the first book I'll ever buy other than for school/college/Uni.

They must have a way to get the phone convo they do in USA...

Anyone know if Gary Neville has released an audiobook with him reading his autobiography?

That'd be worth every penny.

Maybe you should buy a few other books bar the ones you're forced to read, eh?
