He's coached some of the best, most skillful players in the world. Roger Johnson is not one of them.
David Platt is an example of a very good player who struggles to coach players who can't reach the levels he got to as a footballer. He needs to work with elite players because he will never improve them individually.
We've been there already with Glenn Hoddle.
We would be silly to go for someone like Platt. Great player but his demands would be way too high anyway.

He looks like a more stupid Stan Laurel..... how could you look at him and not start laughing ?

As my brain has a finite capacity I can only assume that the fact that I now know that David Platt is in Corrie and was “born” in 1990 means I’ve must have forgotten something vitally important to fit that knowledge in. Cheers mate.
