All these forecasted goals are pure fantasy.
We've had a pre-season playing nowt but rubbing rags for Lee Clark to hide behind, so owt could happen.
We'll struggle to score unless our new flagship midfielders can conjure up some flagship goals.
Otherwise were gonna be relying on second ball and set-pieces
It will remain to be seen if we need a new striker !!
We do need a new striker , 3 isn't anough even if all 3 were good at scoring , I don't get Clark why he can't see that , he thinks we need 8 midfielders but only 3 strikers !!!!!! What all that about then .
Johnson and Gobern maybe left out it says on the official website due to knocks and in Johnsons case still recovering from his knee injury.Hang on a minute, why was he signed if he's not fully fit? Will he ever be full fit again??
Looking forward to the game, personally I think we'll give Bury a right shoeing 4-0.
If it's bloomin hoofball again, then by half time it'll be the first one...exited !
If Skarz is playing left-back then 'worried' isn't even an option.
Sodje will either have a stormer, Playing like a man possesed or he will be sent off ?
Surely Clarky will see that Burys centre halves have the potential to kick Rhodesy black n blue and bully him out of the game.
Novak will harry em to death and wont give a monkeys about reputations, While big Al would enjoy the battle against his fellow oldies !
Gotta start with Rhodes and A N Other up top or Rhodes will be outmuscled and may aswell not play at all.
Surely Clarky knows this ?
Bryce, if we play how we all know we should play (balls to wingers, balls in box) then Rhodes won't need to be involved in battles with big CB's. He just needs to be clever and make the correct moves at the right time. Yer don't always need strength to score goals and that's not defending him, just pointing out what Rhodes will have to do to progress
We might find playing on the floor and inter-passing round the brutes will be best..balls in the air they'll mop up all day..good test of our new midfielders skills coming up...oh and LC's new tactical nouse..?

oh and LC's new tactical nouse..?
Jonnyh - I am a fan of Rhodes, But i am afraid he will be outmuscled and battered by their centre halves, It is pointless having wingers knocking over quick crosses if we only have one up top,
I don't quite get why Rhodes gets the stick he does....
He's been our best goal scoring striker for years...
And he is genuinly a very nice bloke.
A friend of mine has had been working with his dad and his brother at Sheff Weds recently, and the feed back I get is they are all a decent bunch of people, with a football knowledge we amateurs would be in awe of...
Jordan is young but no boy, he mixes it with the best, and he scores 20+ goals per season.
Give him the support he needs and he will become a Town legend...
Myth. Couldn't agree more.
Build 'em up, and knock 'em down.
He's nobbut 21 ffs
Yes Myth he is a nice guy. Talked to him a couple of times in town. Bryce, I still stand by my previous comment that with good movement he'll score his fair share again this season. Obviously none us know how we'll set up this Saturday but if Donal's up there, any crosses coming in and not converted by Rhodes will be snapped by him. Bits and pieces, 2nd balls, yer get my drift
I'm not sure I've ever seen Jordan "mix it with the best". I've seen him mince around annoyingly showing no interest, and I've seen his intelligence in and around the penalty area. He has the abilities but his timidness, weakness, lack of fitness and lack of effort will be his downfall in my opinion. If he does up his game and manage to go longer than 60 minutes he'll have a future. He can't even play for us away from home because he just gets knocked all over the place!

========================
Oh right, so he'll play for England then.
Jordan Rhodes is lightweight. He couldn't mix it with a bag of crisps.
He's lazy, selfish & does nothing in open play to help the team either defensively when we lose posession or attacking because he never tries to open up the defence or make himself available or create space for a team mate........ But he really is a really nice bloke.
We'll have to see Cas. Hopefully with less in the air sh@t and more passing and true wing play he'll be ok. In theory that's how we should play based on who we've signed. Fingers crossed I think. No f@ck that, we don't need that, I've put my hard earned money on
us for this season so it's all positive
Oh no Cryer, have you had another bad day. Come on now, everything will be ok !!!!
Had a bad day, yes. Been painting since I got home from work. Having a carpet fitted in the garage tomorrow.
So I'm mistaken about Rhodes then Johnny
Its not a case of whether yer mistaken. That's up to Rhodes to prove or not as the case may be. What I will say is as I've written above. But lightweight don't mean a thing. Being a striker is about being clever as you know full well.
Excited ,Apprehensive , Worried .....yes..... and that was just today
Excited...NO, but looking forward to the game.
Apprehensive, ? Why. not me.
Worried, LOL, absolutely NOT. Even if we are bottom of the league on the last day of the season there's no reason to be worried.
Disappointing would be a better description.
