McCourt is the type of player I'd happily get a lift over the turnstyles to see play football.
Reminds me of Dougie Bell at Aberdeen. You just never knew what Dougie was going to do. Could beat an entire opposition single handedly.
Andy Ritchie was another. We don't produce enough of these great talents and they are basically not used now because all they want are athletes these days, not guys that can actually play football and be ultra skilful
Bit of a cult player scored some cracking goals but his overall time at celtic can be summed up as meh.
Good luck to him hope he gets a decent move and doesnt come back to bite us on the erse.

You never wanted PM to come on as a sub against you as there was always the chance he could change a game in a second.
ER mentioned a couple of players of the same type and to that list I would add Ted McMinn.
He will do a decent job elsewhere and give fans many talking points.
I don't think there is room for that attitude/athlete in todays game
I honestly believe that Paddy is in the top 1% of professional footballers when it come to technical ability.
I hope to he goes to a club where the manager shows complete faith in him, coz I look forward to see more of his magic on the football pitch.
I think his natural ability has probably led to a lazyness on and off the pitch, and it might have cost football a world class player.

I would love to see the majority of pitches in Scotland become artificial.
I honestly believe it would vastly improve the product on the pitch and allow for more skillful players to come though.

Scottish Football is now mainly just full of athletes and cloggers.
Is it any wonder we are so dire at international level when we are not encouraging those that actually have the skills to play the game

The club have treated Pele terribly. I'm forever raging at Lennon for not using such a natural genius who can unlock a tight defence with a great bit of skill or a sublime pass.

Is Paddy another player who gets better in the minds of fans when he doesnt play?
Last 6 games Paddy has come off the bench he has been rank rotten...with no "sublime pass" or defence unlocking to speak of.
No harm to the guy but his cult status gets him a hell of a lot of breathing space with the fans...
he gets 5 minutes taf. how the fluck can he change the pattern of a game in 5 minutes. i'd have him in a free role like commons has in every game.

Have nothing against paddy at all, but with all the talent we all know he has he has never been able to hold down a regular 1st team place . After this amount of time that looks unlikely to change so best that he tries elsewhere...
