Would be a useful signing, £2m seems a bit steep, more worrying though, is that Fester are also in for him. They might actually make a decision and sign him, while we are still considering it, once again I feel the A.P. will scupper any chance we have. On a slightly different note does anyone know if we actually made an offer to Giles Barnes, as it appears he has just signed a 6 month deal at Doncaster, would be really worrying if Donny are now considered more appealling than Forest.
No apparently we didn't offer him a contract. He had a trial with Monaco before Donny
cheers TEG thanks for the info, IMO I think Barnes would have been the risk, but what do I know.
Isn't this just a case of the media starting to link us with every striker with two legs?
Compared to our other supposed targets, I'm underwhelmed. Useful squad player as a replacement for Howard, but not as first choice.
Think he'll go to Florist after all they won the European cup in 1865 and 1866

Let's hope so
Is be happy to have him. He can fit very nicley I'm sven's 4-3-3 system. He can play as main striker or in the vassell/gallagher role.

I believe Sven mentioned Miller during the recent phone-in as a player he judged to be of interest.
I'd imagine he'd go to florist if he wants first team football.
I'd also imagine we have made several bids for several strikers, and so I see this bid as something of a contingency plan should other bids fail.
Good signing in my opinion. He is strong, quick, eye for goal - much better than Howard ever was!? Replaces Howard straight away!
He scored the late winner against us when we were undeservedly beaten 1-0 at Loftus Road last season so he clearly cuts it in this league and Sven knows him from City.
I think this is a bit of business as well as Maynard/Long - paves the way for Howard to leave, as does Fernandes for Oakley.
Can't wait til Saturday morning! Sign them up Sven! Premiership here we come!

Alright guys baggies fan here with some info about Ish.
First of all unlike what some have been saying he is NOT a target man, he does not bring others into play and he does not really suite a lone striker role or a winger role, what he does do though he does well.
He is left footed heavily hardly ever using his right, he is not that good in the air either. He is however very powerful and very quick kind of like a poor mans Regis, his left foot is amazingly powerful and when in full flight he is unstoppable. To get the best out of him he needs a old pro around him to lay off a chance who is a bit of a poacher as shown by his best form for us was when he was alongside Super Kev, he suites attacking teams and the way they use to work was KP sending Ish through on goal, Ish would smash it and if it never went in the keepers could never handle it and would end up spilling it to KP.
He was brilliant for us till his cruciate injury and since then has picked up niggling injuries unable to get back up to full fitness through lack of games however he has been fit all summer for us, whoever gets him if you play to his strengths and have the right striker alongside him he will get you 20+ goals as long as he avoids injury.

I don't think so!!
Also, as Baggies fan says from his knowledge of the player, he is NOT a target man, he does not bring others into play. How can you say he would replace Howard straight away???
However, would be an ok signing if he does come & can stay injury free.
This is The Baggy Man.
If Ish is serious about promotion, he should go to Forest. It's their turn and Leicester is a car crash waiting to happen.
