New deal for Keegan

The reserve team willbe made up of players not getting a regular first team game, players coming back from injury and youth team players making the step up to the big boys game, players such as Maxted,Ball, Wakefield etc and will encourage their developement.
Also there will be games for trialists and non contracted players to allow the staff to have a look at them.
The retained players:
Well there were many on here last season calling for Sulli to be between the sticks rather than Gary Woods so perhaps they at least will be happy with the news.
There are strong rumours about an incoming keeper, i have had a whisper who the club have spoken to.
It will be good to have Sulli around next season and his age shouldnt be a problem, after all, David james did the same thing didnt he and i bet that most of us would have been happy to have had him on our books.
As for the other retained players on the above list - well i for one am happy enough with all of them.
There are others who havent been mentioned yet and negotiations will be continuing i guess.

Looks like we are out of the Woods but Jordan Ball was given a free transfer.

Hound, yes on a professional footing it is a good move to give Woods a free. Although I feel for the lad, it is not a nice time in your life to be told by your club that you are no longer required. Believe me I have that tee shirt and my sympathy goes to him. Now I hope he picks himself up and prooves us wrong

pegdog ( I posted this on the "Woods has gone" thread in error) I believe that Woods has the potential to become a very good keeper and that he will bounce back from this.
Some will have a laugh at that but I guess not everyone has the same views.

Mine was not to be obligerrant (ooooh) it was a fact...Yes I read and understand your reply ref the Reserves and what I do not understand is why Ball and others have been released, they are young and are prospects for the future, so we have a reserve team as at it stands that keeper will be Maxted. But I do just not understand who can make decisions about players leaving when it is reported that we do not have a manager..I believe that there already is one and the club are just revving up the fans for ticket sales..also you say that you have had a whisper about keepers..That is because you are on the know list..You are privvy to certain matters that are going on which is fair enough and I have no probs with that. But who can make these decisions. A new manager could scupper all that has been decided. Flynn versus the manager on promotion and your recent comments about survival (although I agree) does not bode well, there are a lot of disgruntled people on here and that effects ticket sales on the day. Somebody has got to be transparent and I do not believe that anyone is being..Secrets yes, no prob but I fear a lot will not be happy. I just come on here to express my views...I only went to two games last season as you know...v York City and Bradford P.A because I wanted to see games that I thought we would win comfortably and also because I had respect for both of the opponents from many meetings in the past. On both occasions I considered Donny lucky to win.
