Great statement actually, good on you Levy
Congratulations to Levy & his team at Spurs for a fantastic season with a bright future on the horizon.
ats off to him, I have been a big critic him over the last yr about a new striker etc and remain convinced that we could of achieved champions league for the last 2 seasons if we had spent a little more
But I do see the bigger picture and what the club is trying to achieve, the new stadium is a must in the next 5 yrs.
Im proud that we have stood on our own feet with a 36000 stadium for all these yrs and anyone who thinks Tottenham are not a big team, how many other clubs have 42000 on a waiting list after being, at best average for over 20 yrs ,..I must be about number 30000
IN LEVY I TRUST ..
fantastic statement from a very very good chairman.
shame that so many on here criticise him at every opportunity. we would be nowhere near where we are now without his dedication and astuteness over the recent years.
what he has done for the club (not just the team) is quite exceptional.
Great to see our global supporter base increasing so significantly. All the more reason to hang onto players like Bale etc.
Regardless of today Levy is right we have had a good season and the team has given us plenty to get excited about (ok)
Chronic, don't think many on here are to hard with levy, we all want to sign top players and our desire for the team to succeed and win things takes over sometimes
Levy has been great for the club and would not swap him for anybody
weare levy gets untold stick every transfer window on here and i am one of about 3 people that stick up for him
i am not saying that i dont want us to sign players, because of course i do, i am just saying that levy will ALWAYS act in the best interest of spurs, and if a deal isnt right for us he wont do it.
AVB said yesterday we would do future dealings earlier in the window

I must be another one of the 3, IMO under Levy we have got better and better . The only time Levy has really disappointed me was in the sacking of Jol. I thought it was time for a change but I thought Jol deserved being treated with a bit more respect.
His transfer policy is spot on. We would all love the worlds top players but finance is just as important as on field performances and we are in a great position with the great debt that a lot of prem clubs have.
not spot on about leaving things to last minute , that's been the biggest gripe and AVB said yest that would change so like all people he has made mistakes but hes 100% for the club and taking us in the right direction at the right pace
In Levy we trust
BUT as Weare said, picking up key players on 31 Aug, two weeks into the new season is short sighted.
weare he leaves things to the last minute so that players can actually become attainable.
not just cheaper transfer fees, but also he doesnt pay them wages for the whole summer. on the negative side of things it means they miss pre season, which is a trade off, but last season he got in siggy and verts early in the window, and then got dembele about a day after we sold modric, which was fair enough.
agree Chronic but missing out on Mouhtinio and Damiao at the last minute to be told we ran out of time and the deals were close is poor business, clearly money was there or we would not of been bidding
as far as i am aware the moutinho deal was messed up by porto not by us (porto are a notoriously hard club to negotiate with, similar to us really)

do we really want moutinho? he will be so expensive. better off going for pranjic
Do you mean Pjanic chronic
sorry yeah mate.. pjanic lol.
i knew it didnt look right when i typed it
Great comments to read by a sensible chairman (even as a United fan)
I imagine he won't be quite as cheerful at 6pm today though.
avb stated when the window shut that the moutinho deal was started very early in the transfer window but got dragged out by moutinho's third party owners so cant see how levy was to blame on that one but agree on others
Our kit manufacturer has increased our shirt sales by 36%
Like most on here I like Levy and think he has learnt from previous mistakes (Jols sacking) however I don't understand why we are only building a 56k stadium if we have 42k on the waiting list? Sugar redeveloped the Lane far too small and I don't want that repeated.
