I'm so relieved. I think that your missing out will be a big blow - I am confident for the first time in yonks that we'll spend a decent amount on some quality additions without really weakening the side, something we'd not have been able to do had we finished 4th - and this will make keeping Bale a little bit more difficult. Still, if you do keep Bale and bring in a bit more quality in the final third, there might even be room for both of us next season.

without meaning to sound patronising you lot did way better this season tha i would ahve thought, albeit i was probably very blinded by my anti-AVB goggles

for what it's worth if you lot had made top 4 i'd have been looking over my shoulders with trepidation, what held you back this season was lack of quality on the pitch
