Can the same be said of spurs? What if you lose your key man, I think spurs missed there chance to overtake arsenal.

At the end of the day Spurs are very much part of the top echeolon of the prem, and have been for the past five or six years, despite the media saying otherwise, and trying their best to sell all our best players, so that the Sky Four can be the same for evermore.

Failing to qualify for the CL means that THFC will be closing down as from this evening, due to the fact that the CL teams will all be strengthening and Spurs have absolutely no chance of being anywhere near the top four ever again. Have we not been hearing the same booolox for years now.

Yawn, Change the record, you lot say the same every season. There is very little between the two clubs as the 1 point in the table after 38 games suggest. You can buy who you want, but the bottom line is you can still only play 11 at any one time, and Spurs have shown they are quite capable of beating all the top sides with a bit to spare this season. Write Spurs off at your peril.

'Fraid Bale will leave. Can't blame him, his career path demands Euro Championship football next season. He would start in any side, even Bayern.
So, I for one will wish him... "Good Bye, and Good Luck".
Even the most ardent Spurs fan cannot wish to hold him back.
Doubtless he'll be watching the Wembly final!

as a Chelsea fan i thought you lot performed far better this season than i'd expected-maybe i was wearing those anti AVB goggles, but also bear in mind the players you lost and the pretty ordinary replacements you got

from a more selfish point of view i'm actually pretty relieved you lot didn;t make top 4 as imo you'd have built like Arsenal aren;t going to

i believe we are a left back, quality attacking midfielder and a top goal scorer short of being able to challenge for the title.

Speaking as a neutral, it is as clear as day to me that in the last few seasons, Spurs and Arsenal, as a rivalry, has become more intense, and Spurs have indeed closed the gap on Arsenal to such an extent to make Arsenal fans worried.

Having said that, at this moment in time, they are still one step ahead of Spurs.

Next season will be interesting. Spurs have performed superbly over the last few seasons, but it is a possibility that the team now might start to break up. Arsenal finish in the top four year in year out, and have maintained that position despite losing several important players in the recent transfer windows. What remains to be seen is if Spurs can do the same.

Time will tell. For me, Arsenal are still the better team, with a manager who is much more experienced, but if Spurs can keep hold of their best players, grow with them, and add to the squad sensibly, then I see no reason why Spurs won't remain a club who are right up there for years to come.

We lost Modric (who played bench at Real most of the season)
We got Lloris (a number one GK on any team), Vertonghen (a top back anyplace)
Sandro (Capt Brazil team, unfortunately injured when we needed him for season end drive to 4th spot)

Good and bad season. Good for the results, the points total, AVB doing better than expected. Bad for missing out on top 4, for the rather dodgy defensive problems, and poor display from the strikers.

Despite the points total Levy should look at himself. The lack of action in the Jan transfer window has unsurprisingly cost us yet again. Only 1 point in it between us and Arsenal, just like last season. That's how little tweaking of the squad needed to be done in Jan to make all that difference, and it wasn't done.

Absolutely no more excuses, money has to be spent to bridge this gap of being unlucky and missing out, because we are as close to all the top teams as we've ever been. I just hope Bale wants to stay on the journey with us.

The real spursfan I couldnt disagree anymore. Bale is still only 23, its not uncommon to see players as bright and talented as him to move to a huge club and stagnate. He could quite easily do another season at us and see what happens then.

And as for our RB, who's name is Walker just incase you didn't know, if he were to leave us he would have done it last year, when he got PFA Young Player. He has been good at best and at times lacked concentration and made crucial errors. He will stay.

I honestly cannot see many players leaving because they are "too good for the club". Ship out some dead wood, and bring in some class, and maybe just maybe the future will be even brighter!!

You can't say for sure he will go. If he does then Levy is going to play hardball with whoever buys him, and that's if Levy wants to sell him, cause he didn't want to with Modric and he's a lesser player than Bale.

I can see him giving us another year, but he'll probably expect us to bring in some quality signings.

And yes, I do know walker's name, glad you got who I was referring to.
But truth is the big clubs have players who are "getting on".
Aren Robbin for example at Bayern. Ribery is not a youngster anymore either. Or Schwienstager.
So .... a big offer for Bale could be in the works there.
Also, wots happening at Real? New manager. Players who went stale and didn't perform.

As for David Moyes and ManU .... now there's a chance for Bale .... with SAF whispering in Moye's ear "We did very well with Carrick, even though they didn't want to let him go ...".

Pretty sure Dembele was supposed to Modric's replacement(although not exactly like for like, Dembele box to box dribbler with limited passing range and Modric more of a deep lying playmaker/tempo setter keeps things ticking in midfield) and Holtby/Sigurdsson is/was Van der Vaart's.

Your Toally wrong about Bale, hes no luka modric and wont ask for a move away, hes happy as long as we prosgress, he sees we have a talented young squad and could go places, he will sign this week..
