So you`re saying we`ll sign no one and flog Rooney too???
In that case i`d rather go
Carrick Cleverley Anderson
Kagawa
RVP Chicha
John,
yes...deserves. The guy on his day can be phenomenal, such a shame none of our fans rate him as much as I do.
Oh also, what has Rooney done in the last two years that has warranted United giving him a pay rise? Absolutely nothing, the guy is on roughly 250k a week and people wonder why Nani is refusing to sign a contract.

Statman
If Young can stay fit for more than a week he's a lot better than some of our fans think. But i'm sure the manager will still bring in a winger. Hopefully Bale but probably Rodriguez as apparently we've bid for him.
---------
I agree, Young isn't as bad as some make out. People make excuses for Nani, blaming injuries for lack of form. Young just gets slated.
"Leave it out. Even when he plays well he is in and out of the game. He doesn't grab the game by the scruff."
2010/11 he played a lot more games and his contribution was as formidable as Valencia`s
Football_blood,
good to see you rate Nani as much as I do. The majority on this board seem to just criticise him even when he's not playing. I hope he actually signs a contract, and our fans appreciate his presence or goes to PSG where he'd be wanted.

Hizmo - If we get CM right with those 4 then yes.
I honestly think Nani ahs been treated unfairly by SAF. Singled out for public criticism which Fergie never does normally and never played in his favourite right sided position as Valencia despite being pants this season continually picked. Would love to see Nani play a game or two in a free role behind the centre forward..running and shooting at the opposition. He can go both ways as he is truly two footed unlike most.
-----------
If Nani is truly both footed, why does it matter if he plays on the left?
I don't believe in a team full of superstars that all want to be the main man
We already have RVP, if we bring in Bale say, that should be enough big names. We'd then just need one or two in CM to play alongside Carrick. Someone who doesn't crave attention. Fellaini would be a decent choice
"If Nani is truly both footed, why does it matter if he plays on the left?"
It doesn`t. Valencia on the right and Nani on the left on form ala 10/11 would be my preferred pairing of wingers.
"If Nani is truly both footed, why does it matter if he plays on the left?"
Maybe, he likes cutting in and shooting with his left foot like he has done in the past. I'm failing to understand why you dislike our best winger, you're either a clueless idiot or just want attention.

1. On his day. You said it.
2. Rooney hasn't had a pay rise in the last 2 years. However in that time he has been a country mile better than Nani.
3. Rooney isn't on 250k. Stop reading the tabloids.

He still didnt take them by the scruff.
Statman John.. Because he tends to go to the byline more on the right and plays more like a winger, whereas on the left he nearly always cuts in and likes to shoot.
But he is two footed, very strong on both and not many players can make that claim.
He is a player that needs to be believed in, a confidence player. I have no doubts about his talent and if anyone can harness that consistently you have one hell of a player. My only reservation about him is whether he has a football brain at times, ie. his decision making. It has improved but has some way to go at times.
I also apologise for not factoring in the imminent arrival of Wilfried Zaha.
Where will he feature? Will he be given the opportunity to make an immediate impact? Especially if Nani goes and Valencia fails to pull himself together
"He still didnt take them by the scruff."
Is that your contribution???
I vaguely remember him taking a champions league game by the scruff in greece when Rooney was throwing his last tantrum
Hizmo
You've said yourself on here that other United fans don't rate Nani as highly as you do. Ever think you might be the clueless one? There are a few Nani fans on here, but I don't know a single United fan who is bothered about Nani staying.
Zaha has more talent in his big toe than Valencia and that's plain to see. He may be phased in and used from the bench a lot. Valencia has pace to burn and is strong on the ball. That's about it on this season's evidence.
SAF loved him because he would fight for the ball and hard to get past, regardless of the fact that he is supposed to be a winger. Can't believe he has played so much this season

His lack of brain is my main issue with him. He doesn't seem to learn and his decision making is awful.

I seriously cannot remember a United player crumbling the way he has! He was awesome up til this last season - perhaps giving him the number 7 shirt was a mistake.
I just hope Zaha doesn`t turn into another beckford -tore up the championship but looked diabolical on the big stage

Yes that's my contribution. You started waffling on about him getting a run of games or something, which had no bearing on whether or not he takes the game by the stuff. What more did you want?
Ok Statman we agree on that then, but it has improved, albeit slowly. If Nani goes, some team will reap the benefits of his talents. I would put money on that and be confident that will happen. He has torn teams like Arsenal to shreds. Why do you think SAF played him against madrid at OT. because he can make things happen and has the talent.
Unfortunately the ref messed up though !!!

Zaha is not another Beckford but it may be can he handle the stage and be professional enough. He is a little cocky at times. (Williams is the one to look out for from that Palace team).
It wouldn't surprise me if Zaha starts off incredibly well and takes the PL by storm especially in games at OT .
He is certainly exciting.
