Don't find much around these parts mate, but nice to have you along.

here's another Royal, and friend of Clyde on RR.

A great survey, if I may say so (but hardly impartial I admit!)

Who is that friend of his daibo?

No, I meant I'M a friend of his! Clyde is doing a marvellous job for the RR forum, and he's still a teenager. Gonna be famous, I can tell you!

The famous RR forum member! I'm not even on RR haven't had a look, will now though. Who runs it daib0, is it you?

there's an amazing team of nearly a dozen guiding RR, I've been - let's say "vital" - last two and a half years, but now after last game of season am taking it a bit more comfortably, and love it. Other fans are well catered for, and treated with enormous respect ...

Nice one Clyde.

You gotta keep up the banter here mate. We could really use it on here, nothing to talk about at the moment.

I might as well seeing as I'm signed up on here now

mate. I'm never generally around here since there are so few members on the Reading board.

You usually find me around the Sports Gaming area where it is a little bit more active.

LRF™ - I promise I'll look in far more regularly next season, not to mention close season as well !

Nice one daib0.

Just need to extend the Reading Community on JA606 with the promotions of RR for example and then hopefully filter a couple more Reading fans through.

After 345 replies from 15 countries - here are the results of my 2012-13 survey.

Player of the Season - Adrian Mariappa (30.2%)
Adrian Mariappa joined the Royals from Watford for a fee of £2.5m. He started to tie down a place in September, making his debut in a 2-2 draw with Newcastle. He played twenty-nine times in the league, plus three times in cup competitions. He was voted player of the season, despite being a cruital part of one of the leakiest defences in the Premier League. Adrian saw off stiff competition from Le Fondre, McCarthy and McAnuff to win the award.

Worst Player of the Season - Mikele Leigertwood (37.6%)
Mikele Leigertwood was one of the major reasons why Reading was in the Premier League in the first place. His partnership with Jem Karacan in the previous season saw Reading promoted as Champions, however this season - he wasn't up to Premier League standard. He only narrowly was voted worse than Kaspars Gorkss.

Most Improved Player of the Season - Hal Robson-Kanu (51.7%)
Hal Robson-Kanu was involved mainly from the bench during Reading's Championship winning season - this season however, he started to tie down his first team place, following the injury of Jimmy Kebe. Hal was Reading's second highest top goal scorer - with an impressive seven Premier League goals - and was easily the Most Improved Player of the Season according to the voting.

Young Player of the Season - Alex McCarthy (61.4%)
No prizes for guessing who won this award - Alex McCarthy was in superb form for Reading this season. He made ten saves in three matches this season - Swansea (away), Liverpool (home), Man City (home) - as he eased towards this award. The only problem with McCarthy's season was his injury away at QPR that ruled him out for five months. He was well deserved of his England call up at the end of the season.

Signing of the Season - Adrian Mariappa (47.9%)
A second award for Mariappa - the solid centre-back was voted signing of the season showing he was well worth the £2.5m Reading payed for him. He was followed by former-Nottingham Forest player Garath McCleary.

Worst Signing of the Season - Nick Blackman (29.3%)
One of the closest "awards", but Nick Blackman was voted Worst Signing, following his £1.2m move from League One Sheffield United. Nick is said to be able to play as a winger, a "second-striker" and a striker. The forward is only twenty-three, so development has time to happen. I'm expecting to see him improve in the Championship next season.

Game of the Season - Reading 3-2 West Brom (44.9%)
A staggering ending to the game gave Reading only their third set of three points during the Premier League season. Lukaku had put the Baggies 2-0 ahead, but as the clock rolled to "82'", Kebe headed home from a McCleary cross. Le Fondre scored a penalty, before Pavel Pogrebnyak's late, late winner set Reading fans into pandemonium.

Worst Game of the Season - Reading 0-3 Wigan (54.9%)
Easily voted the Worst Game of the Season - ahead of Reading's 5-7 defeat against Arsenal and their 3-0 loss at Sunderland. Reading were all-but-relegated following this lacklustre performance at the Madejski Stadium. Wigan ran-rings around Reading scoring twice in two minutes at the end of the first half, before rounding the game off just minutes after half-time. Pavel Pogrebnyak's red card, at 3-0, didn't help the matter.

Comeback of the Season - Reading 3-2 West Brom (66.1%)
For the second time, Reading's 3-2 win over West Brom has won an award - with the largest margin during the entire survey.

Goal of the Season - Adam Le Fondre (2nd) v Chelsea (23.3%)
After tight voting for Goal of the Season, Le Fondre's second against Chelsea stole the award and a point against the then European Champions, with 95 minutes on the clock.

League Cup Goal of the Season - Nicky Shorey v QPR (24.5%)
Nicky Shorey's stunning free-kick drew Reading level against QPR in the third round - Reading would end up winning 3-2, following Pogrebnyak's back-heel (second) won Reading the game.

FA Cup Goal of the Season - Jobi McAnuff v Man Utd (31.6%)
Jobi McAnuff scored once for Reading this season - and it won the FA Cup Goal of the Season award. A good build up was finished by McAnuff - who twisted through the United defence.

Seasonal Performance
Reading badly underachieved according to the fans during the Premier League - as 80.1% of them reckoned that Reading had done badly. The performances in the FA and League Cups saw over 50% of fans believe that the Royals achieved as expected.

Next Season
83.7% of Reading fans expect Reading to finish in the top six next season - with 32.0% expecting automatic promotion next season. 16.3% expect the title. 13.4% believe Reading to be between 7th and 12th; 1.7% for Reading to finish between 13th and 21st and 1.2% for Reading to end up being relegated.

Adkins still manager?
Yes - 94.9%
No - 5.1%

Who are the fans excited about playing?
Yeovil Town are the team that most Reading fans are excited about playing (10.6%). Leeds and Bournemouth saw around 10% of Reading fans excited about playing them. Brighton and QPR also scored highly.

Team of the Season
McCarthy
Kelly, Mariappa, Morrison, Gunter
Robson-Kanu, Guthrie, Karacan, McAnuff
Hunt, Le Fondre

Finally
88.1% of the responses were from the UK. 3.8% from the USA, 0.9% from Sweden, 0.6% from Australia, Canada, Netherlands and Spain. 0.3% were from Belarus, Chile, France, Ireland, New Zealand, Russia, Switzerland and Thailand.

I personally think Mariappa has been our downfall in a lot of games this season, don't know why we signed him honestly, don't think he's that good.

I've got a hunch that more players will leave, and more new ones enter before the start of the season than we think at present, but let's wait a bit and see..
