heard a stat on the radio this morning that Brendan Rogers was the sixth longest serving manager in the PL and he will only have been at Liverpool a year in June.
15 managers have left their PL club this season.
Even Watford, Hull and Palace have changed manager in the last year. Mackay has only been at Cardiff 2 seasons.
Wenger looks like being the only manager in next seasons PL who has been at their club pre 2011.
how is the longest serving manager (aside from AW) at a PL club NOW ?
Martinez? am I missing someone obvious?
Pardew.
Wigan got relegated.
oh yeah!!
blimey.... he may even be given his p45 soon too...
If Pardew goes then I think Jol, Allardyce and Mackay will be next. All employed in 2011.
It's a crazy stat when you think about it, Jose couldn't have picked a better time to come back.
I hear that all other 91 clubs have changed manager since Arsenal last won a trophy.
Not sure if its true?
There's been enough time Fellaini
Everton and Spurs fans mocking Arsenal...
It's a real merry-go-round and no mistake.
If Pardew does end up getting the silver bullet and a face full of j i zz off of Mike Ashley, who would take the Newcastle job..?
Pardew has over-egged his North Eastern pudding. Assembling his merry Frenchmen and upsetting the dressing room dynamic that was so important at Newcastle!
Whoever takes that job on will have their work cut out and realistically Mike Ashley would not give a new manager significant funds to work with, which would inevitably mean that the Toon would have to sell before they buy! The likes of Ben Arfa and Cheick Tioté would be sold and Newcastle would most likely find themselves in a dilly of a pickl!
I could see Roberto Martinez being a wanted man if Ashley does indeed decide to put Pardew out of his misery...
I doubt Tiote would be sold. Nobody would by him. He's a terrible footballer. The Ivorian Cattermole.
apparently Rodgers is now the 5th longest serving manager in the division
Lucas, i wasn't mocking Arsenal. I was suggesting based on the fact 15 Prem clubs had changed their manager this season, there was ample time for all 91 to have done so in 8 years.

Strange eh?
It's looking as though next season is going to shape up as something very different. The status quo has well and truly been shaken up. Stability is a rare commodity in football these days, but it is something that is often proven to be benficial, certainly as a longterm thing.
Stability can be beneficial providing it doesn't get stale and/or breed complacency.
I'm not suggesting Wenger has done a bad job at Arsenal because i don't know what his brief is but, some of your fans would question the lack of trophies and perceive that as a lack of success. The money men however see continued CL qualification and the guaranteed revenue as the main goal.
Moyes was the same at Everton, he had longevity but was he a success?
Spugle, it depends on what you define as success.considering Everton's goals were not going to be that high, and if he's achieved their goals, then that is considered success.
Same with Wenger. A trophy would be nice, of course, but their long term goal is to pay off the stadium and become sustainable. To do that they've had to lower their short term goals to sustained qualification of the CL. And he's delivered that.
He could have done better as he has a record of being great. However, Wenger does get a raw deal even if he does have flaws.
Fair points Darren
I'm not having a go at either manager for the reasons you've outlined. It would be foolish not to consider AW a success considering what he's done at Arsenal but you have to wonder how much say he has in the transfer policies at the club and accordingly how the debt is financed.
It's probably a daft theory but i wonder does he have some financial interest in the club?
