'uck me, are spurs fans still trying to justify 5th being better than anything else?
On this theory Yeovil are the best team in the world.
"you had a squad that came 2nd."
yes, but we had a good year with injuries so the depth wasn't exposed
It didn't happen all at once. We were thin in the year we came second. It got worse the next year and when injuries hit it compounded the problem further.
Anything can happen in a single year, when you look at it in more detail and over time then a different picture emerges.
Spurs had the opposite issue
You unloaded a mountain of money, built up the squad yet still found yourselves in the relegation zone. All it took was harry to breathe some confidence into an vastly underperforming side and you popped up to the top 4 / 5 area.
But harry didn't spend a mountain, that had already been done for him.
Spurs finished 5th (worse than last season).
Deal with it
Lol are the spurs still crying. I take it they couldnt wum th gooners anymore so now they are here consoling themselves. Can some one please remi d me did they win a trophy nope. Did they finish top four. Nope. So why are they still trying to justify their league position the losers.

For your next task should you chose to take it. How the table would look if all players were amateurs
No matter what spin you put on the table, you just ain't getting in that top four

You still finished 5th in this 'money spent per point' table.
Always preferred the money spent per trophy table myself.
