You know you can click on the poll as many times as you like Cyp.

If I had the time Kenny Jackett would be in the lead.

I didn't realise that.

Where's the Mick McCarthy option then?

What???????

Yes its true...I voted 4 times for McClaren & got him from 22.5% to 22.7%!

Simon makes a valid point. A household name with internationals on his CV will be announced very very soon. Backroom staff yet to be agreed.

Everytime that Steve Morgan presses the Steve Davis option; I'm pressing the Owen Coyle one.

Love it Cyp, can I have a go too?

Owen Coyle now at 76.8%

Had to stay up 'till 3 .30 am to get him there, though!

Where's the Steve Davis button?

posted on 24/5/13

This is fixed - pressed Steve Davis 20 times and he did not shift from 27.59%.

That means that 20,000 votes (minimum) have to be cast in order to gain 1%.

Well done Cyp.

"And the 46-year-old Glaswegian has received a rock-solid show of support from readers and fans which has placed him well out in front of the other principal contenders.

With more than 7,000 votes cast in the Express & Star’s exclusive poll, the former Burnley and Bolton boss picked up nearly 44 per cent of the vote from readers.

The rising young Crewe boss Steve Davis came in second with 28.21 per cent, closely followed by the former England manager Steve McClaren on 23.36 per cent."

Hmmmm....really desperately hope that Jackett isn't totally perfect for the club and blowing them all away at interviews...before being rejected for Coyle who the board don't see as a good fit but decide they have to pick because of a headline in the E&S.

posted on 24/5/13

U17339 totally agree with this. Look at where Bruce is now, the fans (me included) don't really know who is the best fit for the club at all we just go for the people we don't hate!

On the plus side.......Cyp would make the perfect scapegoat if this were to happen (U17339)

I'm not certain Cyp but I think, THINK that for someone to be a scapegoat, the blame has to be unfairly placed on them...which definitely rules out Johnson at least

Yeah, at the end of the day, the club seem to be doing it all right this time, shortlisting (which I would guess/hope has maybe been going on since at least early April), at least two interviews. They've clearly worked out what they want and whatever failures have gone before are going about it the right way. They may still pick a dud in the long run but the board are absolutely in the best position to pick our next manager - they know so much more than us about the internal goings on at the club, what they have to spend, how they want to play, what youth players there are and how likely they are to be able to step up, what they want to be doing short and long term and about the candidates themselves.

It actually really annoys me that the E&S run something like that because it looks so irresponsible, they should be working with the club, not against it in this way. I hope the club ignore the damn thing and don't give them a single interview next year from the cleaning staff upwards.
