Dr Phil
Stop digging, you're not going to get what you want.
The cost aspect is more down to paying off my debts. Are ticket prices too high? Yes but across all PL teams. In the bigger scheme of things it could be worse, I could (god forbid) have to stump up the prices of Arsenal, Chelsea & United fans. As far as Liverpool tickets go. When you compare them to the clubs I mentioned, they're not that expensive.
Once my personal finances are sorted, then I can afford to go more often.
Liverpool FC have the third highest lead in price for an adult season ticket in the UK.
So there's only 2 other teams in the whole of the UK that would cost you more to see. That's 100% fact
If you paid less for your tickets you would either be better off or you coud have attended more games. As I say the likes of fans like yourself are being priced out of going by your owners.
It's your owners and no one else that determine the price of the ticket at Anfield
Dr Phil
"Liverpool FC have the third highest lead in price for an adult season ticket in the UK."
Have you got a source for this?
I remember seeing an article, I think it was on the Beeb, that had us down as 8th in the league on prices. I remember commenting on it at the time and asking; assuming the top 4 are in there. Who are the other 3 clubs that charge more?
As an aside this is quite interesting;
http://m.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2013/jan/17/football-ticket-prices-premier-league-europe
We may charge more at the top end. But our cheapest match day tickets are £26, Everton's are £31.
http://www.talksport.co.uk/magazine/features/130312/premier-leagues-most-expensive-season-tickets-see-where-your-club-rank-193513?p=19
Uniteds cheapest adult ticket £532 chelsea £595 Liverpool £725 spurs £730 and Arsenal £985
Read that link you posted and I suggest you look at it again.Your cheapest matchday ticket is actually £39.You did get ours right though I'll give you that
Dr Phil
I did as well, I read City's column by mistake .
http://www.lovemoney.com/news/cars-computers-and-sport/sport/15871/premier-league-season-ticket-prices-201213
Easier to read this list of prices they only have spurs and arsenal showing as more expensive than Liverpool
Dr Phil
On your TalkSport link we're ranked 10th. The likes of QPR, West Ham, Sunderland & Newcastle are ranked above us.
What's your point?
Look at the lead in price for a season ticket. You are the third highest in the UK
Have you read the second link I posted that have exactly the same figures but you are ranked the 3rd highest on lead in price
Dr Phil
The figures you've provided all say something different. The TalkSport one doesn't have us down as 3rd highest for 'lead price' (i assume you mean the highest price) at all. It has West Ham (£850), Newcastle(£909), QPR (£949), United.....etc etc as more expensive.
Or do you mean the lowest available ST when you talk about 'lead price'?
c'mon now red don't play the idiot. You know what lead price means.
lead or lead in price is the cheapest available price.Your lead in price or an adult ST is £725.Only Spurs £5 more and Arsenal £260 more but they include 7 cup games in their ST price too.
Man City cheapest ST is 3 times cheaper(£275) that yours
Dr Phil
Just wanted to clarify.
Actually our lead price is £710, as quoted on the clu website. But focussing on this is dismissing the fact that the top price, again quoting the club website, is £850. Compare that to certain other teams and is that not cheap? For example some Newcastle fans would've paid £909 to watch a relegation struggle.
You saying Liverpool are not that bad on pricing is in fact wrong.Only Spurs and Arsenal charge more for their cheaper seats.
This is a FACT.You asked me to provide links and I have.
You cannot buy a season ticket if you are an adult for under £725 at Anfield. That's down to your owners greed nothing else
Let me put it another way so you can understand what I am saying as I believe you are trying to wriggle your way out of what you claimed earlier.
Hypothetically speaking mr plastic fan decides he wants to pick a club to support but he has a budget of £700 for his ticket.
Can you guess which 3 clubs Mr plastic can't afford to go to.......I'll wait for your answer
Dr Phil
So owners greed isn't charging £909 a la Newcastke, or £1,900 a la Arsenal. It's charging £725?
Ok then.
Anyway got to go for a bit. Just sorting our tea.
Dr Phil
Mr Plastic can't afford £19 a match?
Mr plastic has £700 for a ST,which 3 clubs can he not afford to buy a ST for.Simple question
where do you get £19 a match from??
Dr Phil
Yes Liverpool are in that 3. It's easy to skew the figures to your advantage.
Like I said £725 (it's actually £710 on the club's website) works out at a whopping £19 a game.
Would you complain about paying £19 to see 38 games of football?
does Liverpool season tickets include the away games too??? I'd have a think about that if I was you red_man
I think you will find it works out over £38 per match. For your cheapest ST.Man Utd who won the league is £28 a game and the previous prem winners City its only £14.50 a game

Just goes to show numbers are not your strong point red
I do believe that red_man has never had a ST before
38 home games
And they still couldn't finish above us.
Perhaps our dear RS neighbour was thinking we were talking about an armchair streaming ST
