Has to be Zidane for me, no doubt whatsoever.

Agree with Hizmo.

As much as I love Paul Scholes and would call him one of the greatest players that has ever worn a Manchester United shirt, my vote would go to Zinedine Zidane.

Xavi for me. Zidane was the better all round player, but nobody runs the midfield show like a prime Xavi. It's no coincidence Xavi's sharp decline has co-incided with that of Barca.

And Gerrard belongs nowhere near the level of the likes Xavi, Zidane and Scholes.

Xavi. Lynchpin of the greatest side ever. I've rarely ever seen him have a bad game in the 2007-2012 period.

Zidane, best player I have ever seen live. It's the I e time for me that the cliche is true, I would have paid double just to watch him play.

Pele thought Diouf was one of the all-time greats of the game. Don't care what Zidane thinks.

Possibly. He's definitely in my top 5 favourite players I have ever seen. He's been laregly unappreciated until recent years.....a bit like Paul Scholes in a way.

Xavi--------Scholes------Zidane

Imagine that. The 3 greatest passers of the ball I have ever seen.

Zidane for me. Xavi is a close second though.

Talent is Talent but value to the team...

Best midfielder = Stevie G.

Imagine Liverpool without him.
