Pretty simple logic ain't it, it's no-brainer for me.
If he won't sign a new contract, he'll sign a pre-contract, most likely at Man City, where he'll be wiping his backside with £50 notes!
Mata now looks dead in the water unless Valencia are mad a silly money offer for the player.
The board and Wenger have made such a pigs ear of transfers in and out so far this summer and unless they pull some seriously good looking rabbits out of the hat I think it's nothing short of gross negligence!
It's really shocking how transfers are dealt with at Arsenal, pathetic really! Couldn't organise a **** up in a brewery.
What will you change your name to Nasri agent?
Wenger should have got rid of nasri as soon as he could and got mata in.

"Samir Nasri may leave

OH MY GOD. This is like TOTALLY new information.
I'll never understand why we didn't just sign Mata regardless of Nasri's situation.
Is he afraid of the possibilty of having too many good players at the club at the same time or something?
cheltenham_Dunc, who city or arsenal?

An ideal world would see both Chelsea and City currently entering administration.
Oh for an ideal world though eh?
I think not signing Mata before Aug1 was Wenger's biggest blunder of the transfer window.
in a realistic world the title will be heading towards manchester, chelsea in 3rd and liverpool fighting arsenal for 4th spot.
Arsenal transfer dealings make me
I just read we might be selling Fabregas too.
Arsenal have been an absolute shambles in the market so far too be honest.
"Arsenal have been an absolute shambles in the market so far too be honest."
On the whole I think this is only because so may fans seem to think that a rumoured link is virtually a done deal and let themselves get all excited over nothing.
It's not unusual, for us or compared to others, to have only made a couple of signings at this point. Don't forget we've only just got our qualifier sorted for the CL - getting past that could well see a couple of players come in.

What? Nasri AND Fabregas?
Where on earth did you hear this nonsense
Yeah once we get that 25m in we'll hopefully see some activity happening. Big problem for Wenger is that does he play Fabregas in the CL, god knows we need him as both RVP and Nasri are suspended. Massive week ahead for us.
A shambles on the pitch towards the end of last season.
A shambles off the pitch virtually all summer.
And now, here we are merrily shambling our way into the coming season without a care in the world.

Yay.
BBC understands that Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis will meet Barcelona officials on Friday over the future of Cesc Fabregas.
God help us if he goes.
