Clubs haven't announce da figure I think, but I imagine 50M quid for Neymar's way over the mark. A couple of days before Santos announced they'd accepted 2 offers, the talk in Spain was that Barça had offered €22M and that Santos wanted €30M. I'd imagine Barça rushed to pay the price asked as soon as R.Madrid began to hover.

I don't know if it's true or not that Barça had already put down €10M to have first refusal, but even so, that would only bring it to €40M, which is still a very big figure if, as reported, Neymar's contract ran out at the end of next season..

Lots of rumours doing the rounds regarding how much Neymar has actually cost.

The most widely deported figure seems to be €54M, with Santos pocketing around €30-32M, €10M paid to Neymar via his dad a few months ago and the rest on agent fees and add-ons.

Some sources reckon the signing on fee is much higher, suggesting R. Madrid forced up the bidding with an outrageous offer, but tbh the €50M they're reporting sounds totally ludicrous.

Looks like a lot of the big transfer action is going to take place early on in the summer. With the number of clubs that seem to have big money to splash, it's going to be a bit of a race for clubs to land their man before another one gets in the way.
