Lower Bridgford still might be reclaimed. The club is looking at relocating away fans.
next year i will be living on Colwick road which is 30 seconds away from the Bridgford end.
Hope we meet in the cup - easiest travel ever
I am happy we are reclaiming parts of the lower stand. No reason to let any club bring 4000 away fans come when hardly any will return the favour.
Away fan support can really change a match. We need to make sure we are fully prepared on and off the pitch for next season.
4000 away fans come? Oh dear I need to leave the library my brain is frazzled. Hence why I'm now trawling through football forums I guess...
Totally agree Raymond.
Obviously Forest are dreading getting spanked at home by us as usual so they are limiting the number of Rams who'll be able to go long and laugh.
We are also moving home fans behind the goal in the South Stand for next season but will be relocated when Forest come as the dogs'll be given their full allocation of 4500 as usual.
Because unlike you lot we're not scared.
Just wait until next season your going to get such a spanking!
I'll be happy if they move the away fans to another part of the ground, but hope this will not be the last of it, just because they cannot go in upper bridgford!
Haha I don't think it is about being scared it's about being smart. A large mass of away fans can inspire an away team. We need to negate this and turn the CG into the fortress it was under BD's old regime.
Our attendance was up by 2000 this season so if we hopefully see some improvement next season we can put people into parts of the lower bridgford as well.
Also we always seem to beat Sheffield Wednesday who always bring the biggest, best, and loudest crowds to the City Ground.
Personally I don't think you want to stop away fans making noise. Like Raymond says Wednesday generally bring the best away support and when theres 5000 of them in making a racket we respond and the atmospheres great. If we stop them doing it then it's dead and I don't see how that's good for anyone.
If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times. If you want a better atmosphere then sing some songs. You can do it wherever your sat and the away can't stop you wherever they sit.
Yep let's have 2000 away fans in there.
I think we are missing a trick though. The lower Bridgford tickets that will be made available should be priced to suit. EG: same as the Lower Trent. I think we might be shooting ourselves in the foot charging high admission to that area. We could have also, for one season only, introduced a buy one get one free in teh Lower Bridgford.
Marketing has always been poor at Forest. In these times, not everyone can afford a season. I'm lucky. There are many fans out there that want to go but just cannot afford to do so
Agree with Webb that the allocation should be cut down as we never get 5,000 to any away grounds so why should they? Also agree with the prices as well as they are quite steep!
I mean when you think about it we are charged one of the highest prices in the championship
