I'm getting rid of all my blow up Cesc dolls if he signs for the Mancs

Now apparently City have joined the race for him which just goes to show its paper talk. He's said he doesn't want to leave Barca and I'm sure he won't. He's got that stubborn look about him so He won't want to go out as a failure. Ok he hasn't been a failure but e hasn't hit those heights that were expected from him when he signed.

He's gonna desperately want to change that so like I said I can't see him anywhere else but at barca next season.

Utd and City are actually after Thiago. He is available for 18million which could turn out to be a bargain.

Utd are hot for Thiago and I can see why. 18 million would be a steal!

I honestly don't think Fabregas is moving anywhere. Just a few grunts from his camp letting it be known he wants to start more games.

Like I say, I'd be very surprised if he moves anywhere.

Why aren't we after Thiago? We are crying out for more creativity in the team

Cesc won't go anywhere, just papers talk. As for Thiago, yes why are we not after him? After all, Barca still owes us money....

Fair point. I don't know that we're not. But if Utd and cartainly Citteh are interested, then it'd take a serious ammount of arm twisting to get the lad to shoose the Emirates as his home.

Wenger did say before, in a very interesting interview, when going for a player(s), as a manager you are privy to certain inside info. Namely that certain players will move only to certain clubs and it's a non-starter getting involved. Quite often the agents have links with these clubs and deals have been provisionally agreed, at least in principle. Fascinating stuff.

Can't see him leave Barca this summer, especially after all the trouble he went through to go back to his hometown club. If he did leave, then it would be in the next few years, as competition at Barca will be fierce, especially with major talent coming through, such as Sergi Samper, who is heir to Xavi's throne. I would be surprised if Cesc went to another club other than us. He clearly loved the club, and AW was a father figure to him. We also have first refusal, but I do not know how effective that clause will be. If we make some signings and show some ambition and AW , then it would give us a better chance of getting him back.

I think he will stay at Barca. He waited an age to re-join them and has not had half as bad a time as some are saying...

Xavi is also on his last legs. I dont see fabregas leaving now....

for the record I would drive to Barca and pick him up if he wanted to re-sign for us. brilliant player.

Somehow I don't think Barca treats him as a Xavi replacement. He plays too high up for that

he's only 17 he's better than roy keane. fabregas wooaah

Cesc loves Barca so much he would be willing to stay on the bench for the rest of his career rather than leave

I hope you guys are right, but unless he has a more prominent role within that squad, he will not finish his career at Barca. This is considering that him replacing Xavi turned out to be a myth

But Xavi still plays - so its not conclusive

when Xavi leaves or retires will be a better indicator
