@Allysheresforthepies..............
most Celtic fans i know support Scotland over Eire, but also like to see Eire win against other countries.....
I've seen more rangers fan with england tops on than scotland tops, not saying they are all like that, just the ones i know/seen.

With all the ra songs and Irish national anthem renditions heard at Celtic Pk,I would say a large percentage of bhoys are Eire fans.
Boys of the old Brigade,Fields of Athenry etc etc ring out every week at Celtic games,so games against the Irish must split the ranks of the green brigade?
I know some bhoys will say these Irish songs are to wind Rangers up,but they sing them all the time,away from old firm games.
Must be strange not knowing who you are,or where you belong,for certain Celtic fans.

Ah well,hey ho 3IAR

@triplec
im not an engerland fan-infact i don't relay like them when it comes to football
i find them a bit arrogant and big headed
most celtic fans i know have a roi top and a irish flag in the house somewhere
do you have a roi top?

we are rangers
i can remember all the songs they used to sing week in week out not so long ago
its like they days did not exist to them

That is true TripleC regarding Rangers fans in England tops.Here in Ulster too,many people wear England tops,rather than NI tops.

I think some Bears feel that elements in the Scotland support are anti- British,and then align themselves with England,but I reckon most Bears are Scotland fans.In N I some folk identify with England as they get to world cups etc and NI rarely do,so it creates an interest.
I admit some people in Ulster and among Gers fans like the British nationalism expressed by England fans.
We need a survey among Bears and bhoys to find out the percentage supporting Scotland?

Allyshere....

I have been to many old firm games,but the republican chants and songs at Tynecastle recently were awful and from the majority,not the green brigade mob alone.
I support NI cos I was born here and live here and it amazes me how" Irish" Glasgow born Celts think they are.The Queen has been in Eire more than most of those plastics.

In the world cup,if we have messed up as usual,I will support England.I also have a soft spot for Scotland if they qualify,but like us they often miss out.

Still buzzin off 3IAR.
Let's all Laff at Lenny............

@ally,
nope i dont have a ROI top or a irish flag
@we are rangers
i cant speak for all Celtic fans only the ones i know, i dont agree with the ra songs (i admit i sang them many years ago) although these days it does tend to be the away support who seem to want to sing them. A lot of people will sing A Soldier Song to noise up the rangers fan in the same way i'm sure a lot of rangers fan sing anti catholic songs to nosie up Celtic fans......2 wrongs dont make a right

huys
its all just the wind imo
it is the few loonies that take it away from the football that are making the headlines
i pesonaly do not mind the celtic songs soldier or ra chants-it is just to wind us up
what is supposed to happen at the games is you chant back
thats not been happening recently
everyone is getting offended and e mailing fare fifa and uefa
i blame the media just looking for a story

PATHETIC RANGERS FANS

THE VAST MAJORITY,MYSELF INCLUDED,WOULD NEVER EVER SUPPORT SCOTLAND OVER IRELAND BUT YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT THAT WE HAVE IRISH SUPPORTERS SO THEREFORE THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO SUPPORT IRELAND OVER SCOTLAND.

If Celtic & Rangers joined the PL, would anyone care about the nationalist/religious/political persuasions of the fans of a mid table team?
