or is it 3 seasons
anyway..... I love him
For the better part of the last decade, we have lost a 'keystone' member of the squad each season. It has always been one step forward and one step back. There is no indication that this policy will change.
All our key players on long contracts, new sponsors, the club saying they are in a much stronger position are good indications things will change.
If Cesc comes we will be genuine title challengers and he will once again show just how good he is.... But there is as much chance of me lining out for The Arsenal next season as there is of Cesc.
The last time we renewed our major sponsorships was in the afterglow of the unbeaten season. Our bargaining power is not what it once was. Theo and Ox are promising in terms of merchandising (Ox has been on a major video game). Our other major face, Wilshere, has not had exposure for a year.
Contracts nowadays are not worth the paper they are printed on.
If you believe the party line of the club's PR department, I have a bridge in London to sell you.
exactly, our last sponsorships were signed 10 years ago so while we were sitting on hugely undervalued and outdaded deals our rivals were signing much bigger ones. our bargaining position must be pretty good, because the new deals we signed are quite huge.
Except we weren't in a strong negotiating position as we needed a lump sum for the stadium.
I can't see them lying about the agreements they have made with Puma etc as that would only put the club under more pressure to achieve success
On the face of it, you're quite right 8bit. My main point is from a marketing standpoint. I travel quite a lot and cannot recall seeing billboards of our players. Asia and Africa to some degree are huge markets. Everyone else is doing their bit to get fans Stateside.
Sponsors want a big name.
--------------Jovetic--------------
Cazorla-----------------Walcott
-------------Fabregas-----------
-------Wilshere--Rambo------
Gibbs--Kosc---Merte--Corchia/Jenks
--------------Adler----------------
I'd be dreaming.
Anyone actually watch much of Jovetic? Have seen clips only. He is quite good on Fifa though
Great team Giroulski. I'd like it even more if you covered Wilshere's place. He's quite some time away from being fighting fit.
How's your bench?

i fcukin hope so i want us to break our transfer record this summer at least that should be attainable.

we dont really have any players atm that sell shirts, as you can tell from my user name where im from, theres plenty of support for Arsenal, im surprised we dont play a match as liverpool & united are. Plenty of arsenal shirts when you look on the back do you know whats written....
no name no number.
Bench: Szczesny, Vermaelen, Jenks/Corchia?Monreal, Arteta, Chamberlain, Podolski, Giroud
I think that would nice and strong, don't you think?
Real_Aus_Gooner.
Spot on.
Come on Giroulski, no love for Arteta?
Is Jovetic the right kind of player to be the point of a front three?
Arteta is one of most important players. But age tells and his role as an ever-reliable squad player would be key to us next season.
Magic Hat, it depends on the front three. If you look at my team the 4 most advanced players would be 15-20 a season players, and I'm convinced Jovetic can adapt to the role.

I'll admit I was a huge fan of Giroud before we signed him. At the end of the day, it's a gamble really.
We don't have any star players (Cazorla the only one possibly) but we're still respected around Europe and admired for the way we do things. We don't need an overhaul though, we have plenty of good players and depth in some places we just need 2 or 3 ready made top players who cost money.
@skysportsnews
Some news regarding fabregas. We hear he is open to a move back to arsenal.
Could this happen?
I'd say three significant signings, to use Wenger's words, plus one more for when we sell Sagna.
Jovetic, Fabregas, Adler, Corchia. Any complaints?
Whilst we are signing ex players, shall we have Henry back as a backup striker? He still has it imo

For the sake of argument, do we have any accountants here to explain how the sell-on clause would work out?
