Khan - Alexander (In Dubai) for Mayweather

I can see Khan winning this. Devon is a technical boxer with good all round skills however he lacks power and is shorter than Khan. It will most definently go to points and I can see Khan out pointing him.

Dubai is an interesting choice. Arabs must be pumping some money in to get this fight.

Alexander is a hard puncher, checkout the uppercut he stops Urango with.

But he is not a pressure fighter, would be a great win for Khan becoming a two weight world champ.

I guess what i meant was that Devon is not a banger but he is a awkward southpaw who has good speed.

He is not your Matthysse or Maidana, but he a bigger puncher than the likes of Bradley or Peterson.

He has enough power to stop Khan, you got to agree with that

True if Khan has a poor defensive day quite a few fighters can take him out. One thing for sure is that Devon will have no home advantage in Dubai. Dubai have been trying for ages to get big time boxing into the state.

If Alexander lands this uppercut, Khan ain't getting back up.

It lifts Urango off the canvas.

I guess they are using Khan due to his religion to promote the fight heavily over there.

I'm guessing the taxes are a lot less over there as well.

You might start to see big fights shift away from the states in the next few years.

Arum has said Pacquiao may never fight in the States again.

Oh and it being a world title fight also helps

Something special about boxing in America, all the big names past and present fought there primarily, it still will remain the home of boxing for the foreseeable future.

Sweet upper cut indeed.

The Rumble in the Jungle
The Thrilla in Manila
The Brawl in Montreal

You get some pretty big fights away from the states too, some might say the biggest.

You are right there but more big fights take place in America than anywhere else

Once you have already made a name for yourself, you can save yourself about 40% of your purse by not fighting in America.

China is a huge market to sell boxing too.

Suprised Mayweather isnt selling himself to the Arabs?

Vegas, and The Garden is where the big fights happen.

But boxing is becoming more global, and there are world title fights from Germany to Russia, Argentina to Australia.

Vegas is the place to go to build your name and get exposure.

The American PPV market is worth a lot, they pay $60-70 for a fight, so that audience needs to be captured.

But once it is, take your fights where ever you like.

They are selling the Pacquiao vs Rios fight in China for $5 a piece to stream on your mobile or tablet, it could be huge, in terms of revenue.

Boxing will go where the money goes.

Think as a citizen, Floyd tax position would not change too much, but for foreign fighters they lose almost half of it to the IRS then have to pay taxes back in their homeland

Would like to go to Vegas (probably more than anywhere) to watch a big fight though.

Has that been confirmed? I had a feeling that Garcia was running scared when he dodged the question in a recent interview.
