I should now go and youtube him
Probably over rated, but I've no idea even if I've seen him play it would of been watching his club without knowing who majority of them are. Of Shaktar I only know of Teixeira/Douglas Costa/Srna/Fernandinho and Eduardo
Gotta admit some of his youtube highlights are absolutely fantastic, but I suppose this is youtube.
29 goals in a season for a midfielder is also nothing short of incredible, but could he get anywhere near that level in the PL is the worry.
Never mind that was wikipedia being wrong
Already from youtube he played against CHELSEA this season, I probably watched that but can't remember.
Well from Youtube he reminds me of Di Maria and I don't rate Di Maria
Doesn't look that good on youtube and that's a bad sign
Never mind he did score 29 goals last season
For positives...
He kind of plays a bit like Eriksen, like a better version
Hes got the first touch of a brick wall
Just in case anybody from spurs is reading this..........
He's not that good, nothing to get excited about.
Move on there's nothing to see here.
And Messi, but not quite as good as Joe Cole
can't tell through youtube if we're honest. but all the reports on him i've read are very positive. he seems to have a good all round game and crucially is a goal scoring midfielder. That is extremely rare and a very valuable asset to have in your team. his stats speak for themselves really. also i've read that he has become the focal point of shaktar's attack this year and that is some achievement because they are a pretty handy unit let me tell you. i'm not in a position to say with 100% confidence but this seems to me to be a very positive sign
Well he has a few match comps which show all his touches/shots/passes in a game and he looks raw still for someone is 24 isn't a good sign. His first touch is pretty bad the ball bounces off him and his passing doesn't seem to be on the same wave length as his vision. The most positive thing is probably his ability to score goals from midfield but the question is can he do it on a cold wet Tuesday night in Stoke on Trent.

as opposed to a freezing cold Russian night in November in the champions league?
Is it really worth throwing £20m+ at this guy? Considering we got Coutinho for £8.5m, £20m looks a bit high..
You mean Ukrainian, and yes but vs the likes of Huth and Shawcross etc
And I was being tongue in cheek KLS
He looks good to me. He's a very versatile player as he can play anywhere in midfield and attack. 29 goals (in all competitions) for a attacking midfielder is pretty impressive, albeit in the Ukrainian League. 20m+ is a lot to be honest and it would be very risky if we do pay that much. I would be happy if we could sign him for 15m and maybe 5m add ons if he does well?
I wouldn't be surprised if we pay over 20m, we always seem to get fúcked over when doing transfers
