"He is under no illusions"
I disagree!
the only results Kilkenny got were the ones on Sky Sports Score Centre after a game!
What i do not understand is why o why he turned down his new deal and then go to Bristol City over Leeds? I do not understand why any one would do that?
Are they paying him more then us or was it for first team footba?
He's Austrailian - they are all backward down there.
My favorite was He is under no illusions about the task ahead of City, but hopes Millen's belief they can challenge for promotion becomes a reality.
"The manager says so, so hopefully we can [get promoted] but it's going to be a hard season and we haven't brought in many players, only four, but we'll see how it goes," he said.
Promotion my rear end!
Can't wait to see Howson and Nunez run rings round him!!!
'You saw last at Leeds, I got results when I was in the team'
Not sure that's quite true.
He did have a certain rapport with the fans though, one of the few who always came over to applaud the fans.
Fitter than he was when he was at Leeds?
Is our fitness regime all it's cracked up to be?
"it's going to be a hard season and we haven't brought in many players, only four, but we'll see how it goes"
Wow! That's a ringing endorsement right there!
I'd say he went there out of stubborness for higher wages and is probably regretting it already as even we have a stronger squad than Bristol.
Wish i could blow my own trumpet....
I'm sure there are specialist websites for peopke like yourself Waccoe!
Wish I could too wouldn't need Paggs
Hope she doesn't read this
I'll forward it for you in case she misses it
Is it an urban myth that Prince had a rib removed so he could blow his own trumpet?
Kilkenny has made me realise why SG got shot of him.
How do you work that out when sg offers him a new deal? Doh!
This Eric is just a wum
I don't know what this demonising of Kilkenny is all about.
It must be because people know deep down that we've lost a good player and don't like it.
He's absolutely right, we always played better with him in the team, look how results turned when he went away with Austrailia, and when Grayson dropped him.

Not really, people like yourself talk about the need to "show ambition" everyday on this board and to be perfectly honest retaining a flawed and limited player like Kilkenny on a 10K+ per week contract is not being ambitious.
Yes he had great passing ability, but the rest of his game was very limited and he's not the kind of well-rounded CM that is going to get us promoted from this division.
Michael Brown on the other hand, while being 34, is still just as fast as Kilkenny and will provide a much better link between defence and attack.

Kilkenny was / is a lightweight. Good luck to him at his new club but in all honesty if they are where his ambitions lay, they are welcome to him.
Larrys lol well said
Kilkenny has the physique of a ten year old and the pace and stamina of a 60 year old.
Well rid i say but with Johnson going aswell we do need one more midfielder though.
tommystinker
My missus has got the face and physique of a 75 year old! She's in her forties! She's a better passer than Kilkenny.
I just wanted to share that.
It seems every player who leaves us was useless and every player we sign is great.
It's farcical!
No GO, Beckford was a loss obviously and Johnson definitely had his qualities, but Kilkenny was very average... hence why only Bristol were in a rush to sign him.
Also on the subject of Kasper, I think it was a Times columnist who said this week, that we had pulled of a potential master stroke by selling off a keeper who let in 80+ goals last season for £1million... again for all his shotstopping abilities, Kasper was a flawed allround keeper.

Don't engage with the buffoon, you'll never get your point through. IQ of a saucepan!
That Times columnist was talking rubbish then.
If it wasn't for Kasper we'd have conceded 100.
How many did Lonergan concede last season?
We played better with Kilkenny in the team and I don't know how anyone could argue with that. People are insisting that Clayton is far better, but Grayson couldn't have thought so.
