there's no doubt the talent is there, just didn't develop to the player many believed he could be. wish him all the best

I think there were a few reasons. I think he moved at the wrong time and to the wrong club. We weren't a team who could accommodate flair players, with not much defensive discipline. Therefore he didn't get prolonged runs in the team which he needed. However he also has himself to blame as his attitude wasn't 100% and his mind wasn't completely on his football.

He is A Rapper as-well isn't he?
Have to say, I'm a bit surprised it gone so wrong for me.
When he left Liverpool for Hoff I assumed he'd do well, as a bigger fish in a smaller pond I thought he'd be accomodated as opposed to fitting into a way of playing.
Just didn't happen for me. Then when I heard he went back to Ajax I thought it was a good move - hasn't proved to be that way at all.
Just goes to show that without application it can all go t*ts up no matter what level of talent you have.
Have to say, I'm a bit surprised it gone so wrong for me.

Me? It certainly did in that sentense. Mean went so wrong for him

He was a strange one.
I think he had the potential to be a good modern forward, but he obviously didn't have the mentality.
We obviously didn't do enough homework on his attitude when we signed him.
Gangster rapper's ain't nobody's b-tch fooool!
M.C babelcopter shootin da hoops around here son.
I tried to kick... but that shee-ittt just be callin' me man, it be callin' me, man... I just got to go to it!
Uhh...uh.. uh
Ill always remember his goal against besiktas & against chelsea when he smashed one in from 35 yards, then straight after had a freekick which ended up going out for a chelsea throw in
What TOOR said. And on top of that, he was too young when he went. The guy was just 19. Although he had played for 3 seasons in the first team of Ajax, the first two years were mainly as a substitute, and only the last season he was a regular starter.
Should have stayed a bit longer at Ajax, get some more first team football in his legs, before moving to a bigger club in a tougher league.
Don't think there is too much wrong with his attitude though tbh. At least not now anymore. How many players you know would have paid 3 million euro's out of their own pocket to buy of their remaining contract at Hoffenheim (3 years left), where he earned a few million euro's a year, to go to Ajax for a one year contract and play for about 200.000 / 300.000 euro's for the whole season?
He had balls to do that! Hope he'll do well, and end up at a bigger club again.
he's nuts... lazy, thinks he's great, doens't work enough.... simple.
see his websties? running aorund in leather jackets... all style no substance but lazy...
the single biggest example i have is when i saw pepe reina go back on the team bus the day we beat utd 2-0 and haul the silly so and so off the bus cos he was asleep.
