Seriously Thudd? Bet on Arsenal? Did he realise Arsenal were looking good to finish above you and thought might aswell make money off it?

He should have given the money to Raptor to bet for him. So, no one knows about it. Having said that, he would probably spent on birds and beers before placing a bet.
he may not be as thick as I thought he was for betting on Arsenal.
He made the bets whilst on loan at Leeds and Birmingham apparently. And none of his bets involved the teams he played for, so it couldnt have been relating to Spurs at all.
Still, he banned for four months betting on a football match..
3 months are suspended pooops. Therefore he will be available for the start of the season

He said he was bored and saw the betting ads on TV. To be honest, if you have a problem like betting, seeing the ads come up during the ad break, half time and full time in nearly every televised football matches is not gna help anyone.
With the introduction of the apps as well now and the free bets they give away to entice gamblers, its an easy trap to fall into if you have a problem. They should calm down with the betting ads imo but it wont happen as TV companies make plenty of money from them.
Why can't he give the money to his gf or family member to bet on?

Its a suspended sentence Maf, which means there is no ban unless he commits the same offence within the next 3 months - which i would say is highly unlikley.
The ban is up already .

muffinboy the suspension started in May, which is why he is not with the U21 Squad in Israel. 3 months are suspended until 2015.
