He needs to go. As a footballer he's been great at his job but he's clearly past his best. As a man he's got way too much power at The Club and his influence seems to get more negative the longer he's there. Embarassing scenes and Terry go hand in hand today and although he's got the skin of a rhino and seems totally unashamed of his antics..........it's embarassing.

See you Sir Lord John Terry OBE.

Only 1 year at the most. I wouldn't be to bothered if the club decided to sell him.

For me no..........do the same as we did with Lampard and let him prove his worth in the last 12 months of his contract and earn the right for an extension on performance rather than reputation..

Just Shoot

Do you think that he should not have a Salary review?

Because it seems the players have pretty much had things on their terms for years now. Including JT and Lamps.

If he is up to it then there really is no need to do anything with his contract, the only logical reason for an extension is insecurity that he ain't up to it and sorry the club no longer owes Terry feck all, they have paid him a fortune and stood by him through every controversy....

Well we stood by him, and in the end we made the right decisions as was proven.

He has served us well, if a 3 year contract is given it has to be on a <£100k week contract. If it is 1 year it would probably be something like £110k-120k. I think if we offer him a 1 year contract at <£100k, he will leave, no fuss, and I will respect him for that.

He should be willing to reduce his salary by a significant amount. He's currently joint highest earner on probably £170k/week

I would say his new offer should be £100k/week

I do still think he is good enough for us.

We gave them a big pay boost when they proved their worth first time around but now they're senior members of the squad they have to start proving they're more than just an expensive squad player if they want to stay on with us

*easily good for us and should be in the starting XI

I agree. I don't think the club owe JT any more.

He's not the CB he was. Which is natural. I do appreciate his experience.............but as i say i wanna see the club take some of the power back.

would like to see him take a pay cut.

Meh,

Like someone said we don't owe Terry feck all,

3 years @ 70-80k would be fine, or 1 year rolling at 80-90k - however he is no longer worth top dollar wage wise. He is a Chelsea legend no doubt but we cant be held to ransom on someone who over the next 3 seasons will be slowly playing less and less. Would i like to see him coaching here? Yes. Would i like to see him finish his career here? Yes. Would i be upset if he went abroad for a final pay day? Nope. I thank JT for his services and if he wishes it to continue it needs to be done amicably.

Yes and we didn't owe Lampard feck all as well, the club does not owe any player feck all, they get paid to do a job and it ends there.

3 years = too many for him even as a squad player
1 year = Yes but only with significant decrease of his wages /80 k/...I don't think he is worth more then that anymore....however we all know he likes £ so I don't see him to stay in Chelsea if he gets 150k somewhere else...he doesn't have that dignity like Lampard to be honest....if he want to go this summer I wish him best of luck....his 150k can cover wages for 2 decent players nowdays

@chelseathebest

Any idea on the value of Lampards contract?

posted on 8/6/13

100-120k I think by the club

personaly I wouldnt pay him more then 90 k....but we need him for his experience...one think for sure...frank and terry u van bet this summer is last in Chelsea team...only reason why lampy wanted to stay in Chelsea was /he knows jose coming back already/ to win EPL, play regulary in best l in the world bcouse of world cup and he sign big check next season in America...the same goes for terry ...

posted on 8/6/13

But your forgetting, something,

Lampard didn't sleep any of his team mates wives,

lampard didn't drag the club through mud with racist abuse,

So yes the club doesn't owe JT feck all, and if he wants a three yr contract he has to fecking earn it, simple

LO

Terry did not as well

The club owes Lampard feck all, and if we are paying £120k pw for a 34 year old then we have been royally screwed.

I wouldn't mind Terry out of Chelsea this summer at all...he did create lots of mess for our club...last 3 years he isn't realy top notch defender plus his mount in past cost unrest in Chelsea dressing room/responsible for 2-3 managers departures etc...look in ivanovic...he keeps low profile, playing good....thank for everething he done for us but with 150k per weeks he had too
