April-June? And the 4 GS he won outside of that span didn't happen I suppose...

Wimby is in June as well. Agreed 2 slams out of that period but those were the only 2 times when the pattern was broken otherwise the best was always saved for Apr- June. Check his records.

rofl, how candid!

Rather than hide behind insinuations why don't you just state your allegation straight up.

Tennis players are probably the most tested of all sportsmen on the planet.

He's simply a superb athlete that excells more than anyone else ever has on that particular surface.

It's interesting that Nadal is never injured during the clay court season, with the amount of injuries that he has had during his career, you would've thought (just once) that he wouldn't be able to pick up his annual slam due to the unfortunate bouts of injury he has had.

"French tennis legend Noah, winner of the 1983 French Open, told French newspaper Le Monde : "Today if you don't have the magic potion, it's hard to win. How can a nation dominate sport virtually overnight like this?"
Nadal was angered by the allegations.
He said: "What he said is completely stupid. This guy does not deserve to write in newspapers anymore."
Noah's article also claimed that drug laws should be relaxed across the board to level the playing field."

Polby, always remember that there is no smoke without fire. Armstrong too was innocent until very recently. Winning 9 (nearly) tournaments in a row is no joke when players like Wawrinka get exhausted after reaching just one final!

rubbish, nadal is not doping. if he is, so is djko, murry and federer and every other top level tennis player. Nadal is an amazing athlete and the best on clay. But clearly his game is taking a tole on his body! But he still has many years at the top!

WOW i am an Andy Murray fan but i find your comments ridiculous to be truthful. IF Nadal is cheating then why is he not excelling at the other slams?

1 US open? I believe it's 1 Aus and 2 Wimbledon's?

Surely IF as you suggest he is cheating he'd target THE most prestigious of the slams?

I respect your opinion but i believe you are talking rubbish pal

Roland Garros is prestigious! 2 wimbledons is not bad considering he has contested 5 finals!

Not what i meant fergie, i mean if he is cheating then why is he not excelling at the other slams?

I actually dislike the way he plays and find it quite boring tbh but he most certainly is a great player and a great athlete

No cheating as far as I'm concerned

I actually enjoy the way he plays! His winners from impossible angles and his forehand cannot be matched by anyone. Some fans are just stressed that Nadal has not faded away like many predicted. Back in 2009 these same people were saying Nadal would never win a slam again after his lost to soderling. Fast forward to 2013 and Nadal has won 6 more. The fact of the matter is only Novak can really hurt Nadal. And his injuries of course. Nadal and Novak are by far the best on tour and will have many more big matches to come. Wimbledon should be interesting depending on if Nadal is fit of course.

Kind of agree Fergie but I'd have to add oor Andy into that mix but the point of the article previously was accusing Nadal of cheating

Rubbish as far as I'm concerned

PS Andy for Wimby

Nadal is not cheating and it's just an excuse for nadal haters because they can't accept he is a great, so label him a cheat. It's very cheap because Nadal has worked extremely hard to be where he is. The way he has adapted his game from clay to other surfaces is impressive. He's contested 5 wimby finals, 3 Ausie finals, 2 US open finals and to label him a cheat is plain disgraceful.

His negative game suits clay thus 8 slams. He was expected to fade but surely some advancement has taken place. He has played some incredible tennis this year at RG but so did Armstrong when he was leaving the whole field behind by some margin.

Nadal did peak for other slams but onlt occassionally as it is a difficult possibility considering the cycling down period. These are all possibilites, only thing which goes in favour of djoker, murray, fed is that they have not missed one particular period of year on regular basis. And Fuentes belonged to Spain!

Claim what you like but it is an ill informed conspiracy. Nadal will be one of the contenders for Wimbledon this year .

Oh dear. Just when you think it might be safe to venture back to this forum and perhaps read some thoughts on an historic achievement, you arrive to the same old rubbish.

Well done Rafa on an amazing comeback and long may it continue.
