Stuart hall, he is beyond skum, and has admitted it in open court.

Steve Mcmanaman get my teeth grating when I hear his squeeling voice doing the footie commentary. Looks and sounds like a dodgy 1980's (shìtė) car salesman!

1. andy 'i tell you what' townsend, who keeps saying 'we' when watching england... even though he played for ireland.

2. jim beglin - always appears to be watching a completely different match to everyone else - talks glowingly about irish players.

3. mark bright - never finds anything positive to say - classic contrarian.

4. chris coleman - if you need this explained then i don't know what to say.

5. adrian chiles - i used to like him on MOTD2 but now i just can't stand him. the itv gravy train made him arrogant. either that or christine bleakley gave him a crafty handy jay and now he's convinced he's a charmer.

Townsend is a dreadful commentator, wether he's watching england or an english club in europe, if they're behind and look like losing, all he can suggest in his expert opinion is....."They need something to happen, just need something, from somewhere"

next time you're watching a game he's commentating on you'll notice this.

Even David Pleat was better than Townsend.

Who was the other ITV commentator? He was really good, timed his words well, sounded like he had a real passion for the game.

That's an example of him.

i actually liked pleat - his inability to pronounce names was really entertaining.

my favourite was yossi benyanoun.

I can't believe no one's mentioned Richard Keyes yet, one of the most detestable people in the media. He has little general knowledge about football, particularly the way the game is played, he tries to stir stories up with little to know basis.

When SAF retired he was desperately trying to push the story that he fell out with Glazers over David Gill leaving the club and was forced out of the door. Firstly, SAF was perfectly capable of managing the club before Gill became Cheif Exec., SAF guarentees the Glazers a top 3 finish and the money from Champions league football and SAF has said he gets on well with the owners so complete balls from Keyes.

And I don't care what anyone says about "banter" he was well out of order (as was Andy Gray) for his comments about Karen Brady, Sian Massey and the girl that Jamie Redknapp was talking about, deservedly sacked in my opinion.

Odious man, arrogant and full of $hit!

Also dis-honourable mentions for Micky Quinn, Stan Collymoore, Mark Saggers, Darren Gough, Ray Parlour, Mark Lawrenson,Alan Hansen, Alan Shearer Robbie Savage,Peter Schemichael and ESPN's Tommy Smith

Not really anyone I hate but there's a few that shouldn't really be on TV.

Jim Beglin. He has the most monotonous commentary voice around. He just goes on about nothing relevant in one long drone.

Garth Crooks. Never gives a yes or no answer when he's been asked for one but waffles on and on using big words that have no meaning but he thinks makes him sound important? And then when someone is giving their opinion, he constantly interrupts them or talks over them. Then when he's having his say and someone tries to make a relevant point, he comes out with something like ' You've had your say, let me have mine'. So annoying.
