They are reporting rumours that COULD happen- a journalist cannot himself make a transfer happen!

If you don't like it either don't read it or just dismiss it as false until a transfer is confirmed.

Until it's on the BBC Sport page or your club website then there's most likely not enough in the story for it to be right!

I think you'll find that agents and clubs often have input into these 'lies', with a viewing to making something happen - be it prompting a bid, or a new contract offer, for example.

They cannot make it happen- it's hardly a journalists fault if something scuppers the deal at the last moment.

It is a commercial business, whether that be through selling newspapers or generating hits on a website to generate advertising revenue.

The terminology they use is very specific- very rarely do they say something will definitely happen- they suggest interest in players!

yes of course they should go to jail. they used terminology to protect the position for example 'unnamed source' when they didnt have any source. so they said arsenal bid the release clause for fellaini when it didnt happen. so they sold papers and made money from a lie so its stealing. they are the same as drug dealers and paedophiles if we are talking about morals, they dont care about anything. and its not about football because about news they destroy peoples lives.

Sites like this would die a death in the summer without these so called crimes against humanity and last time i check the window isn't opened so rumours are part and parcel of the fun.
