Interesting reading that article that they went from getting rid of a "turbulent" manager to gaining a "turbulent" club!
When you think about it that decision had huge implications on the club. I.e would Fawaz own the club today if it wasn't for this decision and would we still have MA instead!?
Unfortunately I doubt you'll be playing 9 or 10 men and getting 100 last minute penalties for 95% of your games next season, so I don't fancy your chances much.
Having said that, you've signed dardele henderbola, so its not totally bleak

Touche rev, touche. Well done sir.
It was the correct decision to sack him.
He was a jumped up gob-shíte with no respect for the owner. If I was ND I would have sacked him.
It was the replacements which were awful.
Ironically the sacking may have given BD some introspective self-analysing, as he appears, thus far, to have grown up.
Strett
Totally agree with everything said
Is this the same manager who only won one of your last eight games??
"Was" a jumped-up gobshite.....?
In other news, leopards still have spots.
It wasn't the right decision to sack him as we didn't have a better replacement.
He was annoying though, almost as annoying as the SBD love-in on here. Just because he had a dream start I'm not convinced we did the right thing getting him back. Nor am I conviced we wouldn't be better off starting SO'D's 2nd season either.
Whoah there, Lloyd, that's not the party line! Treason! Burn the witch!
The markings on leopards are actually rosettes. They should really use the cheetah in this saying.
Sacking SOD when sat in 7th.......where did you finish with Billy
Forest logic
so predictable the sheep are!
King Billy!
I actually think only Webb has caught on to what I am actually doing here if he has caught on yet
Plus I'm glad stret's that the decisions aren't up to you as otherwise MA would be in charge
Also with SOD I'll admit I am sort of glad he isn't our manager. Yes he did a good job whilst he was here but i never thought he would be the man to lead us to the PL. He just didn't have the charisma or driven attitude for it and I like many others thought in December before the Boxing day match the same thing, and was not in shock when he was sacked even though it was quite a harsh decision as I actually think he had got us as far as he could.
Jacko good knowledge
Strett you're spot on there. Lloyd also makes a good point about SO'D although we'll never know.
Roof, most sensible people realise sacking a manager in 7th is ridiculous but we weren't 7th when Billy took over and at one point were in 5th with him in charge.
Think we were 13th when he took over 7 or 8 points away from the play-off spaces.
In the end we missed out on goal difference. That is still a good achievement whichever way you look at it when you think as well that we had a squad totally devoid of confidence when he took over.
I haven't got a problem with 1 win in 8 at the end. Afterall, the Leicester game was played with a win whatever the result. That game was one of the most exciting games of football we have had since we won promotion from League 1.
Davies is staying quiet and I think that is good for fans who just do not want to hear excuses or crap spouted all the time just after a game has finished.
The thing is that run of results at the end of the season was and is better than NLN's set of results for Derby.
Derby were higher in the league than Forest when Davies took over. Says a lot about Derby fans when they come on here spouting off about what a poor season we had. Remind me again. Without that last minute goal by Fishy in the last game of the season and our generous 4 points, which league would you be playing in next season
It went pear shaped for Forest as soon as Ref's started keeping Red Cards in their pocket.
In one match even the Trent End outnumbered Ipswich players...You dont see that very often!!!!
That's the funniest thing with the Sheep they say you have failed, yet they are perfectly happy with what their team has done even though they are below us again in the league and as Webb pointed out were above us the day Billy took over.
I mean in the last 5 seasons Derby have moved the grand total of 6 places in the league; yet still they do not question the direction their club is moving in.
Stagnant!
There isn't much going on down the A5-2 by the looks of it.
