Chicken wants Harry's D

What Kent said, without Modric he'd have been found out. Telling world class players to run about a bit is fine, the likes of Dembele, Sigs and Dempsey need more guidance.

We'd have most likely sold Caulker and got Samba in.. while paying Beckham 150k a week to stand around looking pretty. triffic.

Tottenham fans seem to conveniently forget that it was Harry Redknapp who took over when they were struggling towards the bottom and made them into top-four contenders.

Chronic,

talking as if the squad is better than it was last season

==================

The 2012-2013 squad is far better than 2011-2012 squad.

And as you like to talk about money spent as basis for your arguments, we spend alot less in 2011-2012 too.

And still (by your theory - because of net spend) miraculously finished 4th.

How does that work?

We wished....

Caulker is shockingly bad.

Oh & i know one thing for sure, Harry would 100% not have sent our only back up winger out on loan when one of our wingers was injured, with the only fit winger (Bale) being played through the middle.

One word, amateur...

What when we already had modic bale rafa king Lennon Defoe etc all at the club. What a stupid point that is!!!! Looking at one years spending v the next when the current and former squad had been assembled over years

Do you actually have any valid points chicken? Or are you just going to continue shooting yourself in the foot every time you post?

AVB isn't in charge of transfers (hence the title Head Coach and the impending arrival of Baldini)

====================

Isn't trusted with transfers, you mean.

What a top manager/coach we've got, cant even pick the players for the squad.

As i say, amateur.

Chronic,

You're asking me if i have any valid points yet all you've just confirmed is that we had 5 players in our squad in 2011-2012 - very informative fella, very informative .

Guess what, we had players in our squad in 2012-2013 season too, and will have in 2013-2014.

I dont know what 2013-2014 squad will look like, but 2012-2013 squad was certainly stronger than 2011-2012.

Are you serious Chicken, that's the job he was given

Hilarious how you call him amateur, I suppose with a half decent manager like Sam Allardyce we'd have won the league if he's so crap. Deluded.

No wonder people are turning on you Chicken, you're refusing to give AVB any credit whatsoever. When actually he deserves a bloody good pat on the back for his work with us so far - most agree with this, the press, the pundits and most importantly so do Spurs supporters

You must think its a piece of cake to come in as a new man, go on to achieve 5th and in the process accumulate a record points total?

Fair enough, you don't like AVB that much is clear. Why then not point the finger at Levy at least for getting rid of Harry in favour of AVB. To my knowledge i am yet to see you bring Levy into all this.

And claiming the squad was stronger last year than 2011-12 is rubbish. We sold our best players and like it or not, they were replaced with Dembele, and Sigurdsson or Dempsey. The only position we notably strenghtened in is goalkeeper, which of course has little difference in actual play.

Kaboul and King were awesome in 2011-12 up until about January, then Kings fitness ruined it. In this sense, Vertonghen is an improvement for a hope of building a consistent partnership, but King on his day was better.

Than we have the issue of Kaboul being out, replacing Corluka with Naughton, no replacement for Saha, leaving us with no strikers for a spell, and Adebayor not turning up until the last 3 games of the season. I even remember the likes of Shaquile Coulthirst on the bench against Liverpool and Ceballos against Everton

Harry would not have us getting better because, to be frank, he just doesnt know how to effect a losing game that well, Im not saying AVB does but I doubt a resurgence like the one vs Man City would have ever happened under Harry.

He was the best manager he ever had, but he only got us CL football once. Once. He only ever once overachieved.

AVB is a good manager. Harry Redknapp is a better manager.
