Yes Suarez only scored 4 in 13 last season but as i am sure you will agree there is always an adjustment period when changing leagues.
Even you must admit his performances were fantastic especially in the game against Utd.
He will only get better this season and although he might not score as many as RVP i believe his overall contribution to the team will be greater as he is not so injury prone.
Don't get me wrong RVP is a fantastic player but his injury issues leave Arsenal short when it matters.
Jesus christ you won't give up will you?
Van Persie
33 Appearance (26 Starts)
22 Goals
8 Assists
Suarez
13 Appearances (11 starts)
4 Goals
5 Assists
Now. Comprehensively beaten.

Suarez's arrival reminds me of Arshavin's at Arsenal. Expected to take time to settle in, in fact takes the league by storm, put in man of the match performances week in week out (although both clubs don't really have anything to play for), both put in amazing individual performances against a top team (Arshavin vs Pool, Suarez vs United), both do absolutely nothing a few weeks later against another top team (Arshavin vs United, Suarez vs Arsenal), suddenly labelled the respective club's best player (by their own fans!) and are debated amongst fans of all clubs if they are one of the best in the league, and finally both get linked to Barca before their first full season has already started.
So don't say that Suarez can only get better because after Arshavin's honeymoon period came to an end he only got worse.
Suarez performed better than Arshavin in a bigger league before he came here.
Plus even if Suarez didn't get as many assists even, he is a constant terror to anyone who he comes up against. He is bustling with energy and skill and is one of our most important players. If you don't think he is that good then fine, but we know he is.

Exactly, Suarez will force defenders out and provide room for others to score. He is much more of a team player, but also has the ability to make something out of nothing himself.
"Suarez performed better than Arshavin in a bigger league before he came here."
What do you base that on?

Yea and RVP's skill and movement off the ball is just complete non existent. You are so one-eyed it is unbelievable
Are they delusional enough to think that their new boys Carroll, Adam, Henderson and Downing could do what Torres, Alonso, Mascherano and Riera couldn't? Surely not.
--------
I find the fact that so many of you omelet's have completely written them off already, despite our new signings have never kicked a ball in a competitive game yet.
I freely admit that Liverpool will find it tough to reach that top 4 position, but if the manager continues to do what he achieved last season after taking up the reigns, then writing off our chances before a ball has been kicked is frankly ridiculous.
What do you base that on?

On top of his brilliant creativity, his goal record was fantastic. He actually scored more goals than he played games in the season before he joined us. I don't expect him to score that many here but as long as he keeps up what he has been doing so far then we'll be very happy.
Plus in terms of skill, from what I've seen so far Suarez looks the winner in that respect.
suarez played some games on the wing......RVP can only play striker so shhh

Did he captain his team to a league and Europa league double?

Of course from what you've seen with your one eyed bias you would say that.

RVP has been a winger for half of his career
Batman accusing someone else of one-eyed bias?! The hypocrisy is hilarious. This coming from the man who claimed Song is better than Lucas.
Yes, keep slapping yourself like that. You deserve it for making such absurd claims.
