We always seem to have Arsenal at the Emirates first! Best to get it out the way I guess
Would have prefered Arsenals opening fixture too... home to Villa
3 derbies and 2 away to promoted teams in the first 6, not what I would have liked.
Promoted teams always start well full of endeavour and confidence, derbies are never easy games.
Ricky exactly my thoughts
Happy to get Arsenal away out the way early doors
The main thing is to get on a run of decent form from the off. Having Arsenal away early doors can either propel us or have the opposite effect depending if we win or lose.
Awful fixture. Opening day away from home is the worst time to play a newly promoted side

Nothing like being positive eh Chronic
Also we will be playing both Palace and the Goonz away before the window shuts. Swansea are no mugs either.
Which means we will be under strength and surrounded by uncertainty of who is coming and going for these 3 games, as we know `Last Minute Levy` always leaves our business to Aug 31.
It would be nice to start the season with most of our business done and dusted for a change.

Can someone go to the spurs board and remind them they have to play a europa league play off on the 29th and have only one day rest.

exactly. Sunderland 5/6 years ago. 1st game of the new season, 12.00 Saturday KO and we lost 2-0
facked me off for the whole weekend.
Still, this season, AVB's in the driving seat (not of Don's bus!!), solid preparation and 3 points hopefully. If we've any aspirations of top 4 finish then these are the games which we should be saying "great, 3 points in the bag"
18 points by end of October no bother
November looks well tough though

That's cool, we have a big squad and the chance of it being a tough team is slim, as we will be seeded higher
