I agree a bit over the top.
The team is on the line here, the coach's job, Misbah's job...They had no choice but to bring positive results out of this. That's the reason for the celebration they know a series victory means a lot.
I forgot to mention- Misbah
Well played Misbah. Although why he can't always bat like this is a mystery.
I keep saying it and you never listen. He THINKS he HAS to bat slow to take responsibility. Somebody needs to put him straight.
cracking innings by KING Misbah
I got the thread titled spot on. It certainly was all about misbahism today
Did captaincy transform you into a defensive player?
In 2007 my role in the team was a different one. As a No. 6 batsman, I was aggressive in the presence of Mohammad Yousuf and Younis Khan - who were taking most of the responsibility to play out all the overs and keep rotating the strike. But with Yousuf being dropped, it was a huge gap to fill, and the responsibility came on me. I was given a role when I led the team after the spot-fixing fiasco: to stay in the middle till the end. And this is the reason for the phase when I held my shots and didn't play to my strengths. When you play like this, you lose your confidence and can't give your best. But now I have given this approach a rethink and have decided to return to my natural game.
I was more concerned about positive results. Whether I was defensive or aggressive, what was important was to win. It was important to get results.

Have you lot seen Babar Azam's performances in the T20 cup in Pakistan? I beg Pakistan to pick this guy please! Going by Cricinfo this guy has performed pretty damn good with both bat and ball! If Malik did this they'd pick him in flash! So pick this guy ffs! He plays in the same team as Sharjeel Khan who once again is performing as an opener. He's playing alongside Imran Nazir it seems.
Hopefully we will see more youngsters playing in Zimbabwe. Maybe give Misbah and Hafeez a rest.
I’m not sure why you two keep on banging on about youngsters . We don’t have any quality. They’ve been tried and tested, Imran nazir, shehzad, zia, azhar ali, Shafiq, umar amin, these two young bowlers, hammad and so on…. Even harris sohail wasn’t trusted to come into bat at number 5 and they dropped him down the order. Quite frankly, if he’s not competent enough to bat when we are chasing a target of 7 runs an over, than what’s he in the team for?
Performing well in mediocre league cricket is nothing when playing international cricket. Amir, stop looking at the domestic averages and then automatically assume they’ll rip international bowlers apart – wont happen. No wonder the PCB go back to the maliks, afridis and akmals – we need to face the fact that there just isn’t quality replacements around.. my nephew is 4 and has an average of 56.7 in my back garden in case you’re interested
Your nephew has a worse bowling average than mohammed Sami
I rather fail with youngsters than fail with constant pricksss such as Malik, Farhat and Kamran. I'm pretty sure you watched the U-19 WC last year- Mohammad Nawaz put in some good performances- How about trusting that talent and playing it on the International stage? These youngsters such as Hammad get selected purely on that basis, yet never get the opportunity even though they are playing in the team.
Money, trust and effort needs to be put into the A teams, U-19's etc... because that is where the future lies- Not with people like Nazir. But you carry on wanting them to be picked.

asad ali in for vicky riaz
Glad to see Wahab dropped.
Solid start from windies though
Why not bring Ajmal on earlier and try getting some wickets instead of bringing on bowlers to tighten the scoring???
Benteke is better than the whole Leeds squad put together.
By the way pre-season is pre-season. Counts for nothing when you cannot do it when it matters. Just like you'll find out when Leeds get relegated AGAIN.
Afridi has been poor again with the bowl. Agree ajjy should have been on earlier....
Luton town. Even if they were a city I'd give you some credit..... But town.....
Lets hope it rains later so the overs get reduced.
Good start this. Jammy sold out again- this time by shehzad
