Nonsense.
The guy played a predominantly wide role for Burnley last season so that goal return isn't a fair way to judge the lad.
The bloke is a pest. He'll put the running in, bother defenders and I suspect he'll grab a few goals for good measure.
Surely you remember him from Burnley's short stint in the Premier League? He's got top level experience, international experience and above all, he's cost no transfer fee.
Lets cut out the doom & gloom and back the manager in what he's doing, which as far as I can see so far, is very encouraging. 3 hard workers in so far, more to come.

Apparently we are spending 2.5 million on Vaughan and Butterfield from Norwich
Wow, where's that from hydy?
Burnley fan here, rated Paterson highly and sad to see him go. He's a hard working player with plenty of ability for this level - if he's utilised properly he'll score plenty and not only that but he'll score big goals too.
good to know tbag, where are your fans on here?
I dunno, I'm mainly here in my capacity as an Arsenal fan cos there's no Burnley fans around so it's nice when I finally get to discuss something vaguely Burnley
How about discussing Town’s double last season!
That's right Wethers...coax em in then shoot the buggers down
Nice to get a recommendation on Paterson from someone who has seen him play lots. I rate the lad and think this could be the shrewdest signing we make this summer
He's got a right conk on him
he's not my type champers
Your mate Loui would be green with envy. He's harbouring some dangerous sexual aggression towards you if you ask me
We're heavily linked today with a double move for Vaughan and Jacob Butterfield from Norwich. Different amounts mentioned by different sources - some say £2.5m, some say a straight swap deal for Hunt (which would be the deal of the century), some say Hunt plus a bit of cash. I don't really mind if Hunt goes the other way, but signing these 2 would be a massive sign of intent and would in my opinion guarantee us not being near the bottom 3 come the last day of the season.
It's only a rumour of course and far from a done deal but it's getting me a bit giddy! I'd still like a defender in a swell, and Bristol Rovers captain Tom Parkes has been linked this morning, only 21 but meant to be an absolute beast.
Remember Paterson's goal in their playoff second leg at the Madejski, a beauty!
I remember that goal. It was a
Champers, where is Loui?
another worker...will run and chase.. haven't seen him play for a while so cant make an informed comment about his "form" now..
I mentioned parkes last week from Bristol..big, sharp and already been captain... gotta be better, even on one of his bad days, than what we have now..
Vaughan needs sorting one way or the other and quickly..
Dunno Hydy lad, he'll no doubt appear in a month or so, spouting his usual crap.
More to the point, where's Darn?!
Darns' gone 'walkabout',,,,,,,,,
Darn has fallen out with Dean Hoyle and co, he has also had his head turned by Halifax Town, yes, Halifax Town! 😂
He said, that when Mr Hoyle leaves, Darn will return. 😳
Darn will be back when the season starts...He talks the talk, but can't walk the walk.. (tell him)
