No thanks. Why do we need another keeper? Darlow is now No.1 and Rashidi No.2
He was class in Swansea's promotion season and I was really surprised when they replaced him after promotion. I'd take him in a heartbeat.
There are more urgent spots to fill.
Next we'll be hearing about how we are trying to sign a much needed CM.
Please focus on a CB or 2, another winger, and a goalscorer.
We don't need another keeper. Darlow has done more than enough to prove he deserves to be first choice, and Rashidi is by all accounts a very able deputy.
What sort of name is Doris anyway?
I'm happy for Darlow to stay as number one but not that fussed if we bring in a more experienced keeper. Might not do him harm to get another years loan under his belt. He's still very young for a keeper
I think we need another keeper. Having a experienced keeper can only be a good thing when we've got two youngsters up and coming.
Nothing to say we aren't concentrating on CB, winger and striker, just that this one is probably a lot easier to get sorted so has come through quicker, if indeed there is any truth in it. Good signing IMO, experience of this league and will help Darlow no end. Doesn't mean to say that Darlow is not number 1 still. Plus, getting a keeper in on a free provides good cover there and means we can spend money on the positions we realy need to strengthen.
Might be a good idea for al Rashidi to go out on loan to gain experience in this country
Think there's a rule against loaning non EU nationals, or maybe thats just in CM 00/01
You need 3 Gks in your squad and considering we have two very young keepers already, this makes perfect sense if he's free and on low wages.
He's set for a medical at Forest according to Natalie Jackson on EMT.
I wonder what Fawaz makes of this, as it will mean Al Rashidi will be pushed down to 3rd in the pecking order. He's here on merit, but there's no denying we wouldn't have gone for him without our Kuwaiti connections...
Fawaz would veto it if he didn't like it...
Good signing, I think Darlow will remain no.1 but between our three 'keepers we only have him with any experience in English football. I think Darlow is quality but if he gets injured, suspended or suffers a dip in form / confidence someone like de Vries would be ideal to bring in.
I think this guy will be no.1 Jacko. Darlow has been great but I can see Billy wanting an experienced keeper this season
This is typical Davies.
Rarely gives youngsters a chance. Doris will be ok but he'll need a good defence in front of him.
We need a proper left back, an experienced centre back and we are almost there.
medical today sky sports news just!!!!
Hate saying it, but I don't really think Darlow is good enough in all areas of his keeping. Not yet. I think we need a keeper with more experience. For once, I might agree with Billy.
Darlow will get experience by playing won't he. How else will he get experience.
Hope Darlow remains No1.
I hope Darlow still gets games, that's not what I'm saying. But if he goes through a shaky patch it'll be good to have Doris there to slot in. Good signing if you ask me.
Quality keeper, especially on a free. Solid signing
Darlow has proven himself to be capable at this level, I don't remember him making any serious blunders, and he made quite a few great saves, so I hope this doesn't rock his confidence. I remember Billy Sharp himself saying that Darlow was a future no.1 and he should know!
^ Er, the point being that De Vries will probably be first choice now.
