I Support bomber. He is the future of Scottish football.

The Dees should do pretty well this year. They've signed up Peter MacDonald who I think is a decent player. Struggled with injuries in his career though. With this new yank investment we'll see Bomber back in the SPL next year I'd think.

Form of last season
Selling of senior players
No significant signings before this week
Disillusionment with Scottish football in general
Cost
Relegation of Dundee
-------------

Agreed.

No supporters outside of the old firm would be influenced in buying a season ticket based on either of us being or in rangers case not being in the league.

Simply really Ivan, people can't afford to spend money on sheidt these days

The SPL is dire, it has been for years and only within the last few years due to the economy people can't afford to throw money away at a "hobbie"

How much is a ST at Tannadice? Without sounding tok harsh, i'd be embarrassed to pay more than £250 to watch guys like Dillon, Rankin and up until recently Daly and Flood. They are not value for money and i don't know how many times i need to say it but to get fans back, it's not about the quality any more, it's about value for money and as Joe said the other day, some Celtic fans must baulk at paying £450 to watch Celtic play against sheidt or play with sheidt if Bangura plays

Last season i paid £25 to watch Celtic play Barcelona, 4 days later i paid £26 to watch us play you guys and the seats are that shocking you can't sit down

My season ticket is £299. I agree it's overpriced.

I don't, and never have bought my season ticket based on what teams are playing in the same league as United, its only based on my love for my club. It doesn't concern me that rangers are are in different league/division and will never have any part in my decision to buy a season ticket.

Got mine on the last day of the early bird on the last day my student card was valid. £135

It's a shame to see the numbers so low though. Sadly people don't have much money to spend at the moment and seem to rather spend it on a Sky package than live entertainment.
The negativity about Scottish football doesn't help. I wish folk would stop beleiving the nonsense in the papers & on TV. Look at our team sheet from 10 years ago and tell me that it's better: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003%E2%80%9304_Dundee_United_F.C._season#Player_details

Stuart Duff, Mark Kerr, David McCracken, Colin Samuel... give me strength. Why do people believe the nonsense about the SPL getting worse? Especially when you consider the cash we were throwing away... £200k on Samuel & Innes. £80k for Crawford the year after and £225k on Miller the next. Madness!

As a unied season ticket holder for the last 32 years it is just too expensive now £380 is exorbitant there is little difference between my ticket and pay at the gate prices add the fact that united drop the prices a few times every season for certain games . Add the fact we lose all our best players every summer and replace them with mediocre lower division players not one of our signings last summer were a success a couple at best we're average most were complete and utter garbage. Also how many Saturday 3 pm games did we have at tannadice very few I hate midweek and Sunday lunchtime games as public transport is a joke it takes forever to get to the game and home again.

Were they not up by about 12-15% last year though??

So its not really that bad, I heard that 80% of the target had been hit before the end of the loyalty period, are they not normally just over 4k. Where as last year they were up to nearly 5k. So if they're at 3,800 just now its not too bad, there's still 5 weeks to go

I would say kick off times, no derbies and no European football are the biggest factors in it, I thought the average before last season was about 4,200. Last year was a show of strength after the Rangers scenario. The fans came out and backed the club, people who wouldn't normally buy season tickets bought them, plus they're was the derbies.

Add on the fact that we weren't great last season and we've lost 3 really good players.

Hobo's right, people are to quick to rubbish the SPL and I get sick of it to be honest, OF fans and clowns that support English teams tend to be the worst for it and the (some) pundits and the papers are just as bad.

There are some poor games, but there was also some great games last year especially in the cups FFS !!!!

The championship play off and the two confeds cup semi finals, now theres some keech games for you
