Jeez.
I know it's Coventry, but this is sad.
That's why I appreciate what the owners have done for our club so far! That could have been us!
and I second DM as much as we like seeing rivals not do well in a playing sense I wouldn't want them to disappear from football altogether who would you have banter and rivalries with then!
fair play to them for having the guts to tell the stadium owners there taking the p1$$.
Let them take a loss on having a massive un used stadium! Too many greed beggers in football.
So is this like comedy club where the support act comes on first to warm their supporter up before watching Northampton?
Me:
"Doctor, I'm worried there's something seriously wrong with me, I've been feeling really odd lately."
Dr:
"Could you describe the symptoms for me?"
Me:
"Well, it's these overwhelming feelings of sympathy for Coventry City."
Dr:
"Ah, I think this is a case of over-identification with the syndrome known as 'sky blue sinking'."
Cov will always have the FA Cup - unlike the trophyless club from the KP flat-pack.
BTW, 9k fans against Boro last season....because it was snowing.
I'm with DM and JL on this. I can't stand Cov. with a vengeance, possibly because they managed to stay up when we didn't. So, it was with great pleasure that the company I work for announced that, for a team building exercise, we would give something back to the community by renovating a boys club in Cov city centre. Hidden within the renovated but hollow boxing gym benches are several LCFC scarves and "foxes never quit" stickers.
However, I do think that "there but for the grace of god go I" and wouldn't wish this on any fans, regardless of who they support.
This is grim indeed, and not to be wished on any club. None of us knows what is around the corner.
Very sad for anyone who cares about football in the east midlands and generally anyone who thinks this is funny. Should consider this could be us in a couple of years!
On cue Nev.
Just mumbling under my breath while reading this
"Nev will say this could be us soon"
not convuse me with John Gee or Trev I just find it pathetic when a club fall on hard times some people love it when unless you are man u the same could happen to any club. But if you don't think thats the case just watch what happens this season and next.
