damn right, if the team presses well carrick will act as defensive cover for any blind spot, plus he won't disrupt the passing rhythm when in possession like conventional dim would.

A lot of hearts are going to broken

We will find out tomorrow if there is any substance to these thiago rumours. There's no way moyes isn't going to be asked about it and if there's nothing to them, then he has no reason to not quash the rumours, if he remains coy, then maybe

We are not Stoke.

You don't say...

Would rather play a 5 man mf with a Fellaini type player for that extra muscle against teams like.... Stoke!

No Rooney is the stuff of dreams? Maybe for you it is. I'd rather have Wayne Rooney in my team if I were manager.

There's a reason why thiago is being dubbed the new Xavi and not the new Iniesta, it's because he likes to okay quite deep.

He's not an AMC like Isco, gotze, Ozil, but a playmaker that dictates tempo but who also like to get forward

He's always played in a 3 man centre midfield though so I don't know how he will cope playing in a 2 man CM if that is indeed how moyes decides to line up

I'm sure he will be smart enough to adapt, one would think his football brain would be of a high IQ

just throwing the name out there, kondogbia (spelling) from what I have read is what we should go for if we are looking for muscle in midfield. As anyone seen this lad play, cos I haven't

Wayne Rooney the stuff of dreams. Nightmares . Certainly would not want him in my dreams. But anyway, he's a good player and would be better than Welbeck or Hernandez.

Regarding Thiago, if he signs I'll hold up my hands and say i am wrong. But in all honesty there is yet to be any real indication he's joining. we'll see..

i'd agree if his attitude is right... but it hasn't been... and if he stays he's got a lot to prove imo... like how much he wants it.

Forget Baines...Alaba should be stolen from BM. A wonderful left back!

BB knows!

Isco, Banega and Koke should have been our targets.

I don't remember too many people questioning his attitude when he was scoring two at the council house in our most important win of the season.

He still scored 16 goals and got 10 assists in one of his worst seasons ever for us. That shows you just how good he is.

that was nearly a year ago, from february onwards his attitude was disgraceful

Moyes will beg Rooney to stay and Rooney will end up staying because no one really wants him

Kagawa will therefore play on the left IMO

I have been sceptical about this transfer from the beginning saying that he was only using United to fortify his position at Barca.

But now I am starting to believe it might come off. If it does, I have a feeling it could be the best transfer we have completed in some time, he looks a real top class talent.

Isn't Benega is a bit of a looney?

i do like Isco but we'd have no chance against Madrid. Christ knows how they plan to fit all their players in.

He's a looney but a fantastic midfielder.

you're gonna be heartbroken if he still wants to go....

if he stays and busts a gut... good, great... if he needs assurances about being not being taken off, dropped etc.... then he can do one... it's his attitude i care about and too often last season he looked uninterested, good stats or not

posted on 4/7/13

He turned up to training on more than one accassion stinking of spirits apparently and slurring his words.

posted on 4/7/13

Isco was never a transfer target because of Martin Ferguson

this 'looney' tag that Banega has... I thought he just left the handbrake off his car and it rolled onto him, crushing his leg between the car and pavement?

Hardly warrants being called a lunatic. More of a clumsy accident.
