Wow, ridiculous comment. Jenas didn't break the mould, but he isn't anything to write home about. 'Pony' is a bit harsh. Pienaar and Bassong, same as above. And as if Pav and Defoe woke up this morning and thought, 'fancy making an effort tonight!'

Pffffffft.

Pienaar was only on the pitch 15 minutes, Pav had zero service.

Spot on, Pienaar was on for 20 min, but he has never done anything, Jenas is very average, Pav has the 1st touch of a r-pest, Bassong is worse than Roman Vega, and Niko is very slow.

Oh gosh. What do you expect from 20 minutes exactly? Miracles? And as for Jenas, he doesn't pretend to be an awesome midfielder, but he is exactly what he's paid to be, a squad player. He does his job when called upon, and he never complains about a lack of game time. A model pro, and for that I commend him.

I think the main lesson from today's game is that we should only play 4-5-1 when rafa is in the team. Otherwise 4-4-2 every time.

Philspurs this really frustrates me though. VDV is a very good player but we play so differently with him in the team.

Philspurs - nail on head re 4-5-1. The problem is who to play to get the best out of that formation.

I think we learned that we need to sign a NEW STRIKER if we want to play 4-5-1

Messiah, benny was just captain cool yet again. I love how he plays, and isn't afraid to get stuck in. Was pleased that the commentators picked up on him too!

From what I saw of llorente I could easily imagine ion fitting in with us in a 4-5-1.

The Spurs website reckons that first half was a 4-1-4-1. Whatever the numbers it was pants.

Really? Who was meant to be in front of the back four??

Benny is by far the most underrated player we have, not so much by Spurs fans, but other fans in general. He is immense under pressure, twisting any right winger without a second thought. He has definately had his moments of madness, but has grown into a top class LB.

Chronic good to see I'm not the only one around here who realises just what Jenas gives to the team. Look at Man Utd for example, players such as Park, Evans and O'shea (before his move) are never starters, but fans are quick to criticise them. Whoever, they know their place, decent squad players (for Utd) who never moan, because they know their place in a team.

BAE is crap, he thinks he is Pele sometimes and loses the ball, and gives away silly frees like today which they scored from. Most goals we give away is from his side. But hay some of you still love him, like I keep hearing give Pav a chance, please give Pav a chance, and he has the 1st touch of a rapist.

Tottenham dog:

I could be wrong of course but its just a feeling I get. Besides, I prefer Kaboul over Gallas. He is physically much better than Gallas i.e bigger, stronger, faster, but he also has good control of the ball hence why he has played in midfield a few times in his career. Plus he is a great threat when attacking in set pieces, not to mention he has a beast of a shot when he can pull it off. I think I have a man crush of him!!!!

iwish, grow up you bell, you clearly ain't a true Spurs fan if you don't rate one of our most solid performers over the last 2 seasons.

Deadknee, don't get me wrong mate, I rate Kaboul just as much, and I reckon he'll prove to be better than Gallas this season. I just feel your doing Gallas a bit of an injustice by suggesting he won't give his all.
