Certainly a strong midfield, the defense and forward line needs bolstering, who's your targets in those areas?

Mancbluez, don't forget we have Kaboul back next season and that's a massive boost for us. That's like a new signing in itself. Upfront we are in negotiations to sign David Villa and if we pull it off it could be one of our best signings in years regardless of his age.

Good article

One thing bothers me about the 433 though - where will Bale go?

Interesting but you have to say that Paulinho is untested.

Also, the 3 as a combination are a bit of an unknown entity too so who's to say that they will all suit each other.

Honestly, I'd have to say that I feel that we can go toe to toe with anyone in terms of power and technique but I think we'll have to see how the new guy fits in. Also, I expect to see Holtby and Sigurdson come on as well so we'll have to wait and see.

Bales, bale will just play on the left in the 3 attack line. He would still have exactly the same freedom as last season

One of the best for now. Not sure that'll be the case come the end of the window

Fair play Don, it'd be good to see him on the left again. But I think we should be basing the team around him.. depends who else we bring into the forward line I suppose.

Add, thats the thing mate... We got great young back up in Holtby and sigurdsson. I think both these players will be important players for next season. Paulinho I am we'll excited about. When was the last time we have had a box to box goal scoring midfielder? Never in my lifetime i don't think.

Don mata, yeh that's what I'm saying... For now. I still think even with other teams strengthening our midfield will be hard to beat.

I read the last time we played 3 in midfield was with Jamie Redknapp, Rohan Ricketts and Simon Davies under Hoddle

The big issue with our midfield 3 is keeping them fit. I don't know about Paulinho injury history, but Sandro's has been bad for us, and Dembele just can't shake niggling injuries quickly. Siggy, Holtby and Carroll will all have important roles to play, and our season could be defined by how well these players can step up when needed.

I'd go one step further and say it's the best midfield in the world. It oozes creativity. Sandro and Paulinho in particular...magicians those two.

Kamran's well jelly.. did all the talk of Diaby and Coqelin upset you?

posted on 7/7/13

Yes, I'm jealous of a midfield inferior to my team's. Outstanding logic.

Best you go lie down in the shade princess.

This is the shade. This is the Tottenham board. Arsenal's shadow.

Surely Dembele and Paulinho will play in a more advanced role with Sandro sitting deeper and playing a sweeper role behind them? Paulinho is not a no.10

I personally expect/hope for this next year.

Agreed Super, could be Villa on the left with NEW STRIKER in the middle.
