Wenger does, of that I'm sure.
The Board I think mainly care about continued profit over a period of about 20 years in the future.

The board only cares about profit. Wenger probably cares but doesn't have a clue on how to succeed in the modern era of football
Is Wenger REALLY sitting on a huge transfer kitty?
Notice how those comments from the board always appear just before season ticket are up for renewal?

Interesting observation Al. But...........if that's true then surely Wenger needs to be shown the door?
He needs to go
We need fresh change. Liverpool and Spurs are being more ambitious in the market than us and we are supposed to have a 'war chest' and CL football.
OK 0onz - so your're saying Gazidis and the board are lying about the dosh.
Sadly, I'm inclined to believe you. If their strategy is to lie to boost season ticket sales, then the club is doomed.
Wenger is key to the success and future of this club
Not lying per se, perhaps bending the truth slightly, maybe the money is there but not available to Wenger.
Either way it is always the same and just before season tickets sales are announced.
Wenger has a different notion of what "success" is now. To him, it's qualifying for the CL and getting a good run in a cup.
Clearly wenger doesn't think that is success, the board set targets each year and that is to make the CL, wenger does that each year, trophies are a bonus. We have extra funds this season, I expect us to become serious contenders again
Serial.
Sad but horribly true.
Neymar? Götze? Falcao? Be serious. Arsenal had no chance of getting those players.
Sir Dennis
we havent got a huge transfer kitty, its all Nonsense we have got around 20m tops
£25 mil??.........might as well be £25. We will not spend it...
