I hear a rumour that another club with European ambitions has taken a keen interest in Benteke. See
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23262568
Apparently they had a whip round and reckon they can meet the £25 asking price. I think he'd fit in well there.
Huddlestone & Parker are injury prone and slow. That won't sweeten the deal.
They are very over rated.
If Lambert is prepared to ditch a player of Bent's class because he doesn't fit in with what Lambert wants, then he's not going to take any of Spurs has-beens. And Lerner will back him.
The only chance of Spurs getting him is if they offer something over £20m and hope we'll give a bit just to get rid of him. I don't think Spurs will, he's not worth that to them.
