Past fighters achieved more than them.
surprised youve got Oscar quite as high as you have, would be in my top 50 but not sure he's better than some of the fighters below him
Oscar won at 6 different weights. 130,135,140, 147, 154 and 160.
Just spotted him.
No room for Calzaghe?
Calzaghe spent most his career fighting bums. Doesn't deserve a place on the list.
A lot of those past fighters had padded records or do you think there were 100 world class fighters in each division back then?
No Marciano, only unbeaten heavyweight champ.
There were at least 50 boxers who have better records than Joe. Why not make your own top 50 list?
Just saw him, too high for my liking though.
Interesting list. But why is Lewis above Holmes? Holmes never got smashed on his rear by very average boxers.
If Calzaghe spent his career fighting bums, then half the old timers shouldn't be n there. Their ranking is based on reputation and fighting coal miners and bar staff toughmen.
Lennox beat everyone he faced. Lennox never got outboxed by a light heavyweight once let alone twice.

I think you will find they beat quality fighters back in the day. Learn about the history before spouting drivel.
Holmes was robbed twice by one of the greatest lightheavies who ever lived when he was past it. He didn't lose to the likes of Rahman or MacCall whilst at his peak.
Those old timers thought to duck a punch was a sign of cowardice. They thought a jab was an injection. They had primitive skills. Look at Greb trying to skip rope. He fought an dbeat all comers but when those all comers were as Danny Welbeck it doesn't say much. Excellent for their time but wouldn't hold a candle to post war boxers.
He wasn't robbed twice though was he. You could argue 1 a piece for either guy. McCall happened at ealy stages of Lewis career when in my opinion the referee stopped it too early. Rahman was a lottery punch and it is common knowledge Lewis didn't train properly for the fight.
You have no clue whatsover about the old timers or Harry Greb. http://coxscorner.tripod.com/greb.html
Here is a good link for you so educate yourself before talking drivel.
McCall happened when Lewis was world champion. He wasn't a novice. The stoppage was spot on also. Lewis was tottering like a drunk on acid.
Rahman was not a lottery punch. He aimed it, meant it and landed it.
Greb was a great boxer for his time. Calzaghe would tear him a new one if you can bring him forward in time. He may have achieved more in his career but in terms of skills, JC is light years ahead. Different styles and more knowledge. Better training, sports medicine and science makes modern fighters better athletes and boxers.
Calzaghe couldn't tear Robin Reid a new one let alone Greb. Gene Tunney who is a million times better than Calzaghe struggled with Greb.

So why has there not been a better fighter than Sugar Ray Robinson or a better heavyweight than Ali? Why can Price gas after a few rounds when the old timers could box 25-60 rounds? Pipe down you dont have a clue.
Witherspoon was robbed against Holmes.
And he was Terrible.
