None of the links I've seen have included anyone directly, or indirectly quoted as saying there is one...

Most of it is 'our reporter understands' etc.

Manchester United make a £25m offer for Barcelona and former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

The offer is currently under consideration but is understood to be below the Spanish club's current valuation of the player.

While Fabregas is not pushing for a move, it is understood he is open to a move back to England and will be guided by whether Barcelona are prepared to accept an offer for him.

Well if I remember correctly, when RvP was an arsenal player we all knew that he was having a gay relationship with Fabregas, before joining United and being straight. Perhaps this has something to do with it.

IT'S ON

I think this bid is testing the water tbh...I assume United will be prepared to pay more

Bloodred beat me to it, I'll delete my post £25m is a laughable bid, this is an elite midfielder.

---------------De Gea-------------
Rafael---Vidic--Evans---Evra
----------Carrick--Cesc----------
Nani---------Rooney-----Kagawa
-----------------RvP-------------------

If we could get Rooney and Nani on form and Kagawa adjusted to that role, that is a potential CL winning team.

A lot of 'if's though.

#MUFC have bid £25m for Cesc Fabregas. Player open to returning to England but will be guided by Barca's willingness to sell.

I'm not claiming to be ITK I'm just the poster every board has that reports what the media world are saying!!

Fabregas has hardly been influential for Barca and has been played out of position a fair bit. Plus they may need cash for a defender.

Even I'll admit the Barcelona board are the biggest jokers in football if they're actually considering that 25m bid, Rossell is a donkey.

Is the Thiago fee to buy a defender, or to attempt to offset Neymar?

TSW, they're after Marquinhos and I'm pretty sure he's valued about 35m by Roma.

posted on 15/7/13

Why don't we just bid an amount we know is likely to be accepted, rather than f@nnying around with low offers?

No, it's potentially the biggest mistake to be made in football by Tito and Rossell.

Woah, easy there, enough of the criticism. We should be praising them.

We don't need Cesc anyway.

Thiago and Carrick will be OK next season.

Neymar and Marquinhos in = £85m
Thiago out = £21m

Net loss = £64m

Not sure they can afford that although I don't have a clue.

For ruining a prestigious club? I despise the Barca players and their arrogant tapping up ways, but I don't like seeing a huge club being ruined. It's why we love football, because of its history.

Question, why didn't we insert some sort of buy back clause with Ronaldo like Arsenal with Cesc?

Wow hi guys, wasn't expecting this. What a coup if it happens.

Was the bid 35m or 25m?

45m

-----------------

We inserted our "clause" straight into the heart of Ronaldo himself.

He wants to come back home! We don't need contracts!
