SWP, NGog and Jerome are awful.
Cahill won't go and even if he does, Coyle definitely won't allow for less than 17 million now, which nobody has offered in 18 months so they won't offer it now
Why does SWP look unlikely?
We need 2 strikers with pace.
I am worried now
Jerome has pace and last season, had an off season, but so did all his team, with our midfield, I expect his goal tally to be similar to his 2009-2010 goal tally (11 in 32).
Chelsea are quoting 3m to loan Sturridge for the season which to me opens the lad up to return, Now we just need to either sign Jerome or NGog for 3m to boost the striking options and we are sorted.
And what has happened with SWP? i have not heard and read anything to state he doe's not wish to join us?
We may not be able to offer the same wage as Sunderland or the same size crowds, But he wouldn't need to move house he would start more games with us this season and be working with a far better manager, Wigan don't even count as why would anyone want to go there and play in front of 10 fans every home game
If SWP was coming I think it would have been sorted by now
Lakuka might have opened the door for Sturridge but hes playing so well pre season they might just keep him
Should cheekily ask Chelsea for Lakuka for the season to prep him for the 2012-2013 season
OC will get someone capable in no fear...
Why RogueManny Mancini only said he could leave 48 hours ago and bids from us, Wigan and Sunderland need to be mulled over now and Mancini also said in the press reported today SWP won't be allowed to go until they have a replacement in place.
I think it is a bit early to rule him out yet when no talks have taken place but our bid has been accepted.
The mirror are reporting that we are interested in Eliaquim Mangala from Standard Liege. I know nothing about him
I am quite disappointed with Coyle regarding strikers.
Above could've said the most important position to reinforce is the striker position and in 2 months, Coyle has failed at this.
We need someone, anyone.
I think Coyle wants to get this department right even more so after we wasted 12m in fees and wages on our last striker
If we got Sturridge back on deadline day i would be happy as he can't play for 3 games anyway, And in regards to Jerome or NGog if we can sign either up full time for around 3m we have done quite well as i am sure Owen will get the best out of either of them.
It would have been nice to have had a striker in pre-season but we have to believe that Owen will be working hard to sort this situation, But i could see us starting at QPR with a 4-5-1 formation with Eagles behind Davies picking up the knock downs and this could work quite well only problem with Eagles behind Davies is who will replace Lee if Eagles plays that position?
Lets hope SWP joins before Saturday
I just can't believe we didn't go for DJ Campbell. Cheap, available and exactly what we need. He will score against us I'm sure in 6 days.

BWFC forever... Out of interest, where have you seen that Chelsea are quoting £3m for Sturridge loan fee? I would be gobsmacked if they let him out on loan again now, he seems to be a firm part of their plans this year.

Under the People listing 3 bullet point it says Chelski want a whopping 3m for his loan fee this time
I know the people is full of **** but with this new lad joining them maybe AVB will do his mate Coyle a favour and loan him to us for another season.
Also it says Jerome as an heel injury which will scupper any move for him this transfer window hence him not playing yesterday.
You have to think OC is afraid of another Elmander turning up at the club, we cant afford to blow the kind of money we did on him on a flop, OK if he had been consistent and got 10-15 a season you say money well spent but he just plain was not.
I think its better to sign 2 average strikers who both get 10ish goals a season than blow all our cash on one average striker and pay him too much to get 10ish goals a season.
I'm still getting the vibes about SWP Rogue Manny.
As to Jerome's heel injury, I fractured my Calcaneum some years ago in a climbing accident and ended up on double crutches for 5 months and physio for 3 months.
The pain was stupid and required Opioids.
I wouldn't touch the fella.
BWFC... cheers for the source. If that is true, I think £3m is reasonable. Didn't we pay £1m to have him for less than half of last season? When you do the maths it only a moderate increase.
So 3 mil for Sturridge on loan for 12 months, another 3 for N'Gog permanent and SWP would be a good way to round off the window I think.
I am very worried about the striker situation. We might just have to relent and say we think ngog is worth 3 but Liverpool want 4.5 rather than miss out and play a front line with the pace of an asthmatic ant we will pay.
Is N'Gog worth 4.5m though?
Maybe a season long loan with a view to buy at the end of the season would be a better option for him, As if the Jerome rumours are true we won't be buying him as it's doubtful he will play till after the new year now.
Maybe not worth 4.5 but have to take a punt. Not more than we are offering. Looks like it'd keeper not worth 18 either
Just looked back on this original post I made and apart from Cahill I am pretty closr
I predicted doom and gloom so it is all my fault
