These Scousers are camped on the Arsenal board, aren't they?
There have been a lot of rumours flying around since May with very little evidence that Arsenal have made
until now 'realistic or forceful' transfer bids.
It seems that we are making bids below other clubs valuations with little prospect of completion.
As I have said many times before 'top class strikers' go to clubs which are willing to pay inflated prices. They are at a premium.
We have seen that already with Falcao and Cavani.
Arsenal will need to raise the bar if they want to secure Suarez,Rooney or Higuain.
Even then there is no guarantee that we will buy any
of these players. There is no shortage of clubs who are able to compete or outbid us.
Personally I don't believe that Fabregas will leave Barcelona in this transfer window. Higuain may leave
Real but only on their terms.
However, I do believe that Suarez and Rooney will be
available at right price. Arsenal must spend the lion
size of budget on one of these.
We need also to buy a high class defensive midfielder, but leaving aside Fellaini this should be
buyable for between £10-15 million.
The goalkeeper and centre back are squad players and do not need big investment.
The business needs to be completed in July and not left any longer.
This release clause is £40m right?
Well expect Wenger to bid £37m. No chance we're actually in for him. It's all a game to get our real target, Higuain. Problem is, we're not very good at it because it'll just mean Madrid pushing up Higuain's price.
This will all end in tears, i can feel it.
Liverpool don't want to sell Suarez and its going to take an offer in excess of 40m to get him. The thing is there are not many players out there to bring in as a replacement. I'm sure we would sell for the right offer but it's going to take a huge one, are Arsenal ready for that? I doubt it.
If he goes it will be to Bayern or Real.
